Job Context:
∎ The primary objective of the project which is under Programme for Emerging Infection is to strengthen Health and Demographic Surveillance System (HDSS) activities across different implementing sites, including areas with full HDSS implementations and areas using sampling strategies. In addition, the project will provide technical assistance to other sites such as data collection, data quality, meeting operations, scientific and informatics competencies, and ongoing methodological support for HDSS activities.
∎ Contract Type and duration:
∎ Fixed Term; duration will be 02 Year with a possibility of extension subject to availability of fund and performance.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Senior Programme Manager reporting to the Senior Director, MCHD will be mainly responsible for performing following duties and responsibilities:
∎ Coordinate with respective site HDSS Leads;
∎ Strengthen the coordination mechanism between Program Office, other HDSS sites and HDSS Leadership Centre;
∎ Organize regular online monthly meeting and ensure documentation with meeting notes;
∎ Ensure that other sites are getting supports from Leadership Centre;
∎ Develop supporting relationships with other stakeholders in the operating network;
∎ Resolve conflicts and arrive at mutually beneficial solutions;
∎ Develop team approach and promote harmonious relationship within icddr,b and different sites to have a professional working environment for project implementation.
∎ Communicate with the individual site for the participation in different workshops and training;
∎ Organize international workshop and training according to project schedule;
∎ Ensure invitation, venue selection, accommodation for the international participants;
∎ Organize and moderate online meeting according to schedule and need basis;
∎ Moderate the meeting and ensure maximum participations from the different sites.
∎ Promoting and facilitating high-level scientific outputs from HDSS data;
∎ Organize virtual scientific workshop;
∎ Highlight and share finding from HDSS sites;
∎ Understand the role and responsibilities of the HDSS Leadership Centre, derive implications for project execution and allocate different project verticals to team;
∎ Manage, supervise and report all implementation to the Program Office;
∎ Track progress against work plans;
∎ Derive implications and focus areas for Team members;
∎ Finalize implementation plan with team;
∎ Cascade goals and responsibilities;
∎ Establish review mechanisms and collaborate with team for implementation in order to effectively create a road-map for effective project implementation.
∎ Prepare and submit monthly progress report to programme office (Emory Global Health Institute) and share summary reports in the monthly meetings with all HDSS sites
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 10 years of relevant experiences specially in coordinating and implementing health project of which Minimum 5 years at senior level Project management in international NGOs / research institutes / developmental organizations. Working experiences with multicountry project is preferable.
Salary:
∎ Annual Tk. 23,15,550/- inclusive of house rent, conveyance, and other admissible benefits;
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ 14.8% provident fund contribution, income tax paid by icddr,b, children allowance @Tk.1,917/- per child per month, festival bonus, contributory healthcare support including dependent spouse and children, group life insurance, and subsidized canteen. Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
