Job Context:
∎ To be based in Dhaka and reports to the Manager- Digital Content Development
∎ The contract will be till 31 March 2023
∎ Position Overview: The primary responsibilities of the Senior Officer- Digital Content, Training and Curriculum is to ensure that high quality training materials are designed and produced, and training delivered to the relevant staff and target groups, along with mentoring and coaching. This includes working with the Quality Reading Materials (QRM), Instructional Design and Teachers Support (IDTS), and Communication & Documentation (C&D) unit to identify the training and curriculum related digital content needs for the relevant staff, teachers and students, as planned. The Senior Officer- Digital Content, Training and Curriculum is also responsible for coordinating with the technical teams as well as vendors for all aspects of digital content development initiatives. The position may also require some travel within the country and involves frequent interaction with material development consultants, illustrators and digital content makers, and also with relevant government officials for necessary approval. The position will report directly to the Manager- Digital Content Development.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Program Management, Contextualization, Training and Coordination (80%):
∎ Responsible for development of the digital content and providing training and orientation to the target group and relevant staff.
∎ Responsible for overall digital content development in coordination with relevant program teams.
∎ Assist with Administration for bidding process to select appropriate and capable vendors (production houses) in order to produce digital content.
∎ Draft text for Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)/ Terms of Reference (ToR) to be signed with the vendors along with issuance of work/purchase order, as appropriate.
∎ Work with script writers and illustrators for sourcing/developing scripts, artworks and storyboarding.
∎ Determine AV design, AV formats and pre- as well as post-production tasks as part of the developmental process of the digital content.
∎ Cooperate with Administration in entering into copyright agreement with related vendors, script writers, illustrators or any other consultants.
∎ Ensure necessary logistics to develop overall story, shooting plan, scenario and imagery for development of particular digital contents.
∎ Engage celebrity artists, performers, anchors, authors, illustrators, singers and reciters as appropriate for development of high quality digital content and perform appropriate video filming and shooting activities with such celebrities involved.
∎ Collect draft digital contents from the vendor and arrange for staff review session, compile feedback and comments for improvement and finalization of the digital content.
∎ Complete detailed written reports in a timely basis to Global Office regarding the status and progress of printing books and materials.
∎ External Coordination and Networking (20%):
∎ Establish and manage relationships with other NGO's, government officials and local educational facilities/authorities.
∎ Liaise with other teams within Room to Read to coordinate workflows and share program information.
∎ Participate in any other activities that need to be undertaken to fulfill the objectives of the organization and the project.
∎ Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the Manager-Digital Content Development.

Additional Requirements:
∎ A minimum of 05 years of related professional work experience
∎ Strong leadership and management skills
∎ Experience in the successful implementation of a wide range of tasks
∎ Experience in developing and implementing programmatic improvements
∎ Prior success in working closely and building relationships with diverse groups of people and organizations
∎ Ability and desire to travel frequently to working areas in the country (about 20-25 percent of time)
∎ Effectiveness in working or volunteering in a non-profit organization that is focused on maintaining high quality work and low overhead
∎ Prior experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented global or regional organization
∎ Proven track record of achieving results
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
∎ Ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously
∎ Preferred:
∎ Experience on video editing, shooting, producing and airing AV education materials
∎ A master's degree in the related field of study
∎ Prior experience on teaching-learning material development.
