Senior Merchandiser:

The Role Are you an experienced Merchandiser looking to take the next step in your career? We have an exciting opportunity to join the Dhaka Buying Office of the UK’s leading fashion lingerie supplier working with major brands and retailers working on lingerie, swimwear, nightwear, and active wear.We are expanding our Dhaka Office and are seeking hard-working garment merchandiser to work side by side with our UK & China Offices and partner factories.

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Manage the Critical Path, oversee all dates to ensure deadlines are completed on time.
• Update PLM systems and Excel spreadsheets used for tracking orders & all deadlines.
• Liaise with UK Team & China Office and support with any queries.
•  Calculate garment prices and negotiate with factories & suppliers.
• Receive orders & BOM’s from Development Team & Customers, check details against costing and critical path and follow up on any queries.
• Order sampling & bulk materials, communicate regularly with suppliers to ensure on time delivery. 
• Lab Dip any local materials, liaise with China team on color standards.
• Co-ordinate samples with factory sample room, ensure all seal samples are produced on time to Critical Path.
• Plan production schedule with factory, ensuring adequate time allowed to complete within Critical Path deadlines.
• Manage Production capacity and order projection, escalate any over/under utilization.
• Order packaging & trims, checking print layouts & care label information according to customer manuals.
• Oversee Gold Seal & Garment Durability process, ensure all orders pass before shipment.
• Receive packing lists from factories, check details and ensure qtys are within tolerance.
• Plan and manage vessel deadlines from Bangladesh to UK and maximize time and ensure we meet customer delivery.
• Co-ordinate with factory and freight forwarders to manage cargo delivery.
• Communicate regularly with all partners either by MS Teams, phone, email or in person dependent and participate in meetings as required.

The Company Based in West London, Aura Lingerie design and supply retailers with lingerie, swimwear, nightwear and active wear. Our customers vary from luxury brands to familiar multi-channel and high street retailers. Our aim is to work closely to their desired brand aesthetic, target margins, testing requirements and delivery deadlines. Either working from a blank canvas or to a design already created we collaborate to develop the ideas into a commercial reality.
