Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Must have extensive experience in handling kidswear product especially expert level knowledge on newborn baby segment.
∎ Must be knowledgeable of garments construction and costing, specifically Woven and Knit fabric properties, fabric printing and surface applications (e.g., heat transfer, embroideries, screen-printing), Kids wear product safety and integrity·
∎ Must have extensive experience in product development, sourcing of materials, costing, production tracking and execution of orders independently·
∎ Profound knowledge of woven and knit garment engineering and production processes is required·
∎ Have sound knowledge of fabrics and an excellent network of fabric, print, embroidery & trims suppliers·
∎ Independently execute woven and Knit product development.
∎ Understand latest fashion trends, source new fabric & develop customer collect.
∎ Ensure smooth communications with customers and suppliers on day-to-day merchandising activities and approvals.
∎ Continuously update the fabrics, trims, washes and stitch library including technical data and price information.
∎ Understand customer requirements and closely work with design team to manage the quality samples within time frame.
∎ Ensure production and samples follow up with factories and buyers·
∎ Communicate with buyers on day-to-day merchandising activities and approvals.
∎ Source fabrics and accessories local and overseas.
∎ Prepare costing sheets with all the necessary breakdowns.
∎ Arrange lab dip, trims, bulk fabric color, and quality test for customer approval·
∎ Work closely with the fabric mills and suppliers ahead of design packs to develop new fabrics and finishes to reduce lead time.
∎ Must be capable to handle buyers independently·
∎ Should have ideas about effective communication for raw materials booking and delivery·
∎ Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact and build relationships and work as a team.
∎ Should be well-groomed, smart and energetic·
∎ Strong presentation and delivery skills·
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
