Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Basic Requirements:
∎ Must have extensive experience in handling US customer’s product.
∎ Preferred to have extensive experience in product development, sourcing of materials, costing, production tracking and execution of orders independently·
∎ Preferred to have knowledgeable of garments construction and costing, specifically Woven and Knit fabric properties, fabric printing and surface applications (e.g., heat transfer, embroideries, screen-printing)·
∎ Preferred to have experience of handling all kinds of Knit, Woven, Sweater, Jacket etc.
∎ Profound knowledge of woven and knit garment engineering and production processes is required·
∎ Have sound knowledge of fabrics and an excellent network of fabric, print, embroidery & trims suppliers·
∎ Independently execute woven and knit product development.
∎ Understand latest fashion trends, source new fabric & develop customer collect.
∎ Ensure smooth communications with customers and suppliers on day-to-day merchandising activities and approvals.
∎ Continuously update the fabrics, trims, washes and stitch library including technical data and price information.
∎ Communicate with buyers on day-to-day merchandising activities and approvals.
∎ Source fabrics and accessories local and overseas.
∎ Prepare costing sheets with all the necessary breakdowns.
∎ Arrange lab dip, trims, bulk fabric color, and quality test for customer approval·
∎ Must be capable to handle buyers independently·
∎ Additional Requirements:
∎ Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
∎ Excellent written / verbal communication skills (English plus Bangla languages).
∎ Having analytical skills and able to plan, evaluate and meet deadlines.
∎ Knowledge and skills on producing and analyzing reports.
∎ Smart, honest and committed to delivering results.
∎ Education:
∎ Graduates from BUTEX, AUST, BUFT or Shanto-Mariam University, preferably major in Apparel Merchandising, AMT, Fashion Designing or Textile Engineering.
