Educational Requirements:
∎ Graduation degree from any accredited and reputed university.
∎ Diploma in textile technology/Merchandising/Fashion Designing will be an added advantage.

Experience Requirements:
∎ 12 to 15 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Identify new fabric sourcing opportunities by understanding current and future global apparel market trends, trade regulations, and corporate/brand strategies.
∎ Establish strong partnerships with key factories and suppliers to ensure capabilities, capacities, diversification and scale support the needs of the business; validate that order timelines and volumes support productivity in the manufacturing process.
∎ Review suppliers' capacity and capabilities.
∎ Oversee activities of the team members, identify their strength and weakness and evaluate their performance.
∎ Drive consistency of product quality & fabric compliance standards in accordance with requirements.
∎ Execute objectives inline with company requirements & quality specifications including fit, fabric, color, testing, customer returns and cost of quality with action planning to ensure compliance.
∎ Define & execute quality & technical processes & protocols for fabric & product with regular reviews.
∎ Support team to review and approve samples, such as style, construction, workmanship and quality, measurement to ensure that they meet product specifications, resolving all queries.
∎ Provide technical advice and support to factories, customers, merchandising team and technical team.
∎ Evaluate if there are any safety and functional issues and advice corrective solutions.
∎ Recommend the process simplification & cost saving alternative options to the buyer.
∎ Drive digital tools for garment technical process and automation for product, fabric & color approvals.
∎ Product Engineering (Knowledge of Fabrication and behavior, Knowledge of Machinery, foresee production difficulty during initial sample stage and propose alternative options).
∎ Contribute to the sustainability agenda and meet business sustainability targets.
∎ Keeping up to date with trends and innovations to feed into business strategy.
∎ Partner with Brands to drive a robust forecasting process which supports revenue targets, supports efficient production loading, enables speed initiatives, improves on time performance, and increases profitability.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 50 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ He should be technically sound / good in communication / good sourcing skills.
∎ Must have excellent interpersonal skills, proven ability to manage team and deal with multi-level stakeholders.
∎ Should be proactive as well as reactive and able to work in a pressured environment and set target.
∎ Should have ability to foster synergy and/or lend expertise to other operational area.
∎ Should have good communication skills both spoken and written in English and Bengali, ability to speak Hindi will be an added advantage.
∎ Prior work experience in similar position with similar product category from similar Industry will get top preference.
