Healthcare IT Expertise: Familiarity with healthcare-specific systems such as EMRs (Electronic Medical Records), HIS (Hospital Information Systems), and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, GDPR) is preferred. Experience in leading digital transformation initiatives, particularly in healthcare technology solutions.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and execute the IT strategy in alignment with the organization’s goals, especially regarding the expansion of healthcare apps and digital services.
∎ Lead, mentor, and supervise the IT department, ensuring effective performance, development, and collaboration.
∎ Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of all IT infrastructure including networks, servers, cloud services, hardware, and software to ensure high availability and performance.
∎ Establish and enforce IT security protocols to protect sensitive healthcare data in compliance with data protection regulations and industry best practices.
∎ Support the continuous development of Brac Health Programme’s digital platforms, including mobile applications for Android and iOS, and their upcoming features like pharmacy orders and home sample collection.
∎ Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers for procurement, maintenance, and upgrades of IT equipment and services.
∎ Lead IT-related projects such as system upgrades, infrastructure migrations, and the introduction of new software solutions. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
∎ Prepare and manage the IT department’s budget, including forecasting and financial planning for technology investments.
∎ Ensure the efficient functioning of IT help-desk services for the company, addressing hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
∎ Develop and maintain business continuity plans, disaster recovery procedures, and data backup solutions to mitigate operational risks.
∎ Ensure that all IT systems comply with healthcare data regulations and provide regular reports to senior management on the state of the IT infrastructure, risks, and improvements.
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
∎ Job Purpose
∎ This role will be responsible for developing and implementing IT strategies aligned with the project’s goals, ensuring that technology solutions support BRAC Health Programmes’s growing digital initiatives. The IT Senior Manager will ensure system security, oversee the development of digital health platforms, and ensure the seamless delivery of all technology-related services within the project.
