Job Responsibilities:
∎ Should have vast knowledge about finishing parameter, good knowledge about dyeing process & various testing parameter.
∎ Should have good knowledge about knitting parameter (ex-count, stitch length, gauge for required GSM), cam design, yarn characteristics styling/trend, fabric, washing and color composition knowledge must require.
∎ Maintain competitiveness means keeping an eye on developing trends and on what the competitors are doing.
∎ Analysis and a sound understanding of current conditions within a specific sector or market.
∎ Lead the entire team of designers, product developers, fabric coordinators focusing on in-house strength & capabilities.
∎ Cover the whole product range from the style analysis up to the garment ensuring correct fabrics & garments construction, and value addition.
∎ Retain strong comprehension of business development through line development, design specifications & product marketing.
∎ Develop/modify products to improve production efficiency and quality, and liaise with those involved in the production process.
∎ Provide strong and consistent product direction, own the process of balancing the range to include development of seasonal key looks, fashion items and essential pieces appropriate for individual customers.
∎ Provide trend analysis of colors, styles, and details utilizing different design sources & global trend research and meet up global trends; apparels, fabrics & graphic design and implementation.
∎ Introduce new customers while maintaining strong business relationship with the existing customers and adopt appropriate methods of researching, analyzing, and interpreting the behavior of different consumer groups.
∎ Educate production team with the new garments, fabrics and embellishment techniques.
∎ Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and utilities.
∎ Ensure cost reduction by reducing all kind of wastage.
∎ Work with the other department for committed orders and monitor the fabric development.
∎ Developing creative ideas and concepts.
∎ Follow up all buyer fabric development status.
∎ Coordinate with all supportive departments (merchandising, planning etc).
∎ Responsible for strong floor management as well as correspondence.
∎ Carry out assigned responsibilities for developing, directing and coordinating knit planning activities for executing development process.
∎ Determine and execute improved technologies used by suppliers, competitors, and customers.
∎ Working knowledge on fabric construction.
∎ Research, design and evaluate materials, assemblies, processes and equipment.
∎ Any other assignment given by the management time to time.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ Minimum 5-8 years of experience in any reputed Knit composite garments factory(s) out of which minimum 3 years in Senior Manager for Design and Product Development Position.
∎ Good knowledge in fabric & apparel product development.
∎ Strong technical understanding of fabric development
∎ Should have knowledge on new seasonal fabric trends.
∎ Must have the ability to supervise and inspire team of workers & staffs
∎ Able to work under pressure and complete the task within a time-frame
∎ Good in planning and analytical skills
∎ Strong production leadership with problems solving skills.
∎ Good inter-personal & communication skills
∎ Good team player, well-organized, initiative and detail-oriented
