Proven experience in fabric receiving, stock reconciliation, and inventory reporting in a high-volume knit fabric environment.
Prior experience managing a store team independently in a mid-to-large scale export-oriented factory is required.
Expert-level knowledge of gray fabric management, including fabric types, GSM, roll/lot tracking, and quality parameters relevant to knitwear.
Hands-on knowledge of modern RFID-based tracking systems for fabric/inventory control, including tag assignment, scanning, and system integration.
Strong understanding of FIFO inventory practices, stock reconciliation, and wastage control at scale.
Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/inventory management software integrated with RFID systems for stock tracking and reporting.
Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy in a large-volume store environment.
Good coordination and communication skills for cross-departmental liaison (Knitting, Dyeing, Planning, Quality, IT).

Fakir Knitwears Ltd., one of Bangladesh's leading knitwear and garment manufacturing companies, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional for the position of Manager, Inventory (Gray Fabric) at its Narayanganj facility. The incumbent will be responsible for the complete management of a large-scale Gray Fabric Inventory/Store with a handling capacity of up to 1,000 metric tons, covering receiving, storage, issuance, stock reconciliation, and reporting for all knit gray fabric received from the knitting section and/or external sources. The role also requires establishing and maintaining a modern, RFID-based fabric tracking system to ensure real-time visibility, accuracy, and control over such a high-volume inventory. This is a critical operational role that ensures accurate fabric tracking, minimal wastage, and uninterrupted fabric supply to the dyeing and production sections.
Manage end-to-end Gray Fabric Inventory operations at a scale of up to 1,000 metric tons, including receiving, inspection, storage, issuance, and stock reconciliation for all incoming gray fabric.
Implement, operate, and maintain a modern RFID-based fabric tracking system for roll-level identification, real-time stock visibility, and automated location control within the store.
Ensure accurate recording of gray fabric receipt from the Knitting section (in-house) and from sub-contract/external knitting sources, including roll-wise weight, quality grade, RFID tag assignment, and lot details.
Maintain systematic and updated stock records (ERP plus RFID system) for gray fabric, including fabric type, GSM, width, color, lot number, rack/location, and supplier/knitting source.
Coordinate with the Knitting, Dyeing, and Planning departments to ensure timely issuance of gray fabric as per production plan and order priority.
Conduct regular RFID-assisted physical stock counts and reconcile with system/book stock; investigate and report any discrepancies immediately.
Monitor fabric aging and ensure FIFO (First-In-First-Out) practice is strictly followed to avoid long-standing/obsolete stock, supported by RFID-based date and location tracking.
Design and maintain an efficient rack/zone layout for a 1,000-ton capacity store to enable fast RFID scanning, retrieval, and space optimization.
Ensure proper storage conditions (stacking, labeling, roll protection) to prevent fabric damage, contamination, or quality degradation.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly Gray Fabric Stock Reports, receiving reports, and issuance reports to management, supported by RFID system data.
Coordinate with the Quality department for gray fabric quality inspection (GSM, shrinkage, defects) before acceptance into inventory.
Track and report fabric shortages, excess stock, and wastage; recommend corrective measures to minimize losses.
Liaise with Commercial/Sourcing teams regarding external gray fabric procurement status and expected delivery schedules.
Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for audit purposes, including Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), issue vouchers, RFID scan logs, and stock ledgers.
Support internal and external (buyer/compliance) audits related to fabric inventory, ensuring full traceability of stock movement through the RFID system.
Supervise and manage store staff (storekeepers, helpers, RFID system operators), including work allocation, attendance, and performance monitoring.
Maintain the fabric store in an organized, clean, and safe condition as per company and buyer compliance standards.
Troubleshoot RFID hardware/software issues in coordination with the IT department and external vendors to ensure uninterrupted tracking operations.
Analyze fabric consumption trends and support the Planning/Costing departments with accurate stock and consumption data.
