Job Context:
∎ PORTWEST, Ireland a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE is currently seeking applications for the position of a PHP Developer to be based in Cumilla Export Processing Zone, Bangladesh. Portwest is one of the fastest growing workwear companies in the world currently employing over 4600 staff worldwide, with customer service staff in over 130 countries. We design, manufacture, and distribute market leading workwear, safety wear and PPE in fully owned production facilities.
∎ OFFICE TIME: 2.00pm to 10.00pm (follow the office time of Ireland)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Senior Full Stack PHP Developer will have experience working within an Agile environment, developing complex PHP-based applications. Among your key responsibilities will include:
∎ Participate in an Agile environment to develop complex PHP-based applications.
∎ Design, develop, test, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
∎ Analyse user requirements and translating them into solution recommendations.
∎ Create and innovate development of the platform, and manage the front-end, back-end, and user experience.
∎ QA, testing, and code reviews.
∎ Documentation of developments.
∎ Work closely with local and Irish based digital teams, and stakeholders.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 8/9 years' experience using PHP and mySQL
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is must
∎ Experience managing developer teams
∎ Experience in PHP MVC Frameworks, specifically Laravel
∎ Experience building eCommerce sites, APIs & Web services, networking, and complex stack platforms.
∎ Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure & management
∎ Good knowledge of MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, AngularJS, jQuery and JavaScript,UX/UI experience
∎ Experience using web services such as REST/SOAP or other APIs
∎ Use of issue tracking tools such as Jira - Customer Issue Logging, Resolution and Reporting
∎ Knowledge and interest in web standards, accessibility, SEO and industry trends
