Job Context:

The role is responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate store and inventory operations by managing the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, maintaining inventory accuracy and system records, enforcing proper stock control and material handling practices, and supporting procurement, production, and audit activities while ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials, finished goods, spare parts, and consumables.

  • Ensure proper inventory control and stock accuracy through regular physical verification and cycle counting.

  • Record all store transactions accurately in the ERP/software system and maintain relevant documentation.

  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the Procurement and Production departments for timely replenishment.

  • Prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Material Requisition Notes (MRN), Delivery Challans, and other store-related documents.

  • Ensure proper material handling, preservation, and storage practices to prevent damage or loss.

  • Maintain FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and LIFO (Last In, First-Out) inventory management practices where applicable.

  • Reconcile physical stock with system records and investigate discrepancies.

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during inventory and compliance audits.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and 5S practices within the store area.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and stock movement reports for management.
