About you
Minimum 5 years of relevant Quantity Surveying / Electrical QS experience in Singapore / Bangladesh
BSC or MSC Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from BUET, CUET, KUET, RUET, DUET, SUST, JUST, PUST, NSTU, HSTU, MBSTU, PSTU, CVASU, BSMRAAU, BMU, IUT
Strong experience in electrical/M&E quantity surveying within any construction projects
Hands-on experience in electrical measurement, cost estimation, tender preparation, variation claims, progress claims, and final accounts
Able to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents
Good knowledge of electrical materials, equipment, installation methods, and construction practices
Familiarity with Singapore construction contracts, commercial practices, and relevant regulations
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel; experience with QS/estimating software is an advantage
Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams

About the role
This is a Quantity Surveyor (Electrical) role focused on managing electrical cost estimates, quotations, budgets, and tender submissions for building and M&E projects. You will prepare Bills of Quantities, conduct cost analysis, evaluate supplier quotations, monitor project costs against budgets, and manage commercial and contractual matters across electrical works.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and review electrical cost estimates, quotations, budgets, and tender submissions for building and M&E projects
Prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ), quantity take-offs, measurements, and cost breakdowns for electrical works
Review tender drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify scope, quantities, discrepancies, and potential cost impacts
Source, review, and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for electrical materials, equipment, and installation works
Prepare tender comparisons and assist in the evaluation and selection of competitive suppliers and subcontractors
Monitor project costs and expenditure against approved budgets
Prepare and evaluate progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts
Verify subcontractor and supplier claims against actual site progress and contractual requirements
Attend site meetings and conduct site measurements to verify completed electrical works
Maintain proper records of contracts, quotations, purchase orders, claims, variations, and project costs
