Responsibilities & Context: Context : AKH Knitting & Dyeing Ltd. is a 100% export oriented knit garments composite factory. We are looking Senior Commercial Officer who is responsible for managing all commercial activities related to cash incentive applications, import operations, documentation, compliance, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The role requires strong knowledge of BGMEA, BTMA, Bangladesh Bank guidelines, customs rules, and commercial procedures related to a knit composite manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Cash Incentive Management
- Prepare, review, and submit cash incentive applications as per Bangladesh Bank circulars.
- Ensure accuracy of all required documents such as UD, PI, EXP, Bill of Export, Back-to-Back LC, BTB consumption statements, and production reports.
- Coordinate with banks, auditors, and relevant authorities to ensure timely approval and disbursement of cash incentives.
- Maintain updated knowledge of export incentive policies, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure proper reconciliation of export proceeds for incentive claims.
Import & LC Operations
- Handle full import process for machinery, raw materials, chemicals, accessories, and spare parts.
- Prepare and review LC applications, amendment requests, import permits (IP), B/E, HS code verification, and commercial invoices.
- Communicate with suppliers, freight forwarders, C&F agents, and banks for smooth import operations.
- Monitor shipment schedules, clearances, and logistic arrangements to avoid delays.
- Ensure compliance with customs rules, VAT, AIT, duty structures, and bonded warehouse regulations.
Commercial Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and updated records of all commercial files, including LCs, bank documents, shipping documents, UD & GSP forms.
- Coordinate with BGMEA, EPB, Customs, and Bangladesh Bank for approvals and regulatory processes.
- Ensure all documentation meets audit and compliance standards.
- Assist in resolving commercial discrepancies with banks, customs, or suppliers.
Coordination & Reporting
- Work closely with merchandising, supply chain, production, and accounts to ensure aligned commercial support.
- Prepare periodic reports on LC status, import summary, cash incentive progress, and cost analyses.
- Support management in commercial planning, budgeting, and decision-making.
