We are preparing a full production launch. Much of the system is already built, but it needs strong ownership to close gaps, stabilize the backend, and ship reliably.
This is a high-trust role. We have been burned before, so we are prioritising integrity, delivery, and proof of real production work.

You will take ownership of an existing Strapi/Node backend, integrate a revenue-critical digital signage CMS pipeline, and coordinate delivery with frontend/mobile contractors to ensure everything ships together.

Job Responsibilities

• Take ownership of an existing Strapi (Node.js) backend and make it production-ready

• Improve performance, reliability, and security across the backend

• Rationalise and clean up APIs into a stable v1 contract

• Add production essentials: structured logging, error tracking, health checks, and critical tests

• Design and implement caching, rate limiting, background jobs, and deployment discipline

• Integrate with an existing digital signage CMS (revenue-critical)

• Build a multi-tenant sync system with secure token-based authentication (refresh/rotation)

• Implement automated publishing of content packs and scheduling to screens

• Build a reliable Redis + queue/worker pipeline (BullMQ preferred) with retries, backoff, idempotency, and job visibility

• Coordinate with frontend/mobile developers using clear API contracts and daily progress updates

• Own staging-to-production releases, including deployment checklist, rollback plan, and short handover documentation
