• AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty (Mandatory)

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

• AWS Certified Security - Specialty

• AWS Infrastructure- DMZ, Firewall

• AWS WAF/Advanced Shield) Security services (KMS, Guard duty, Inspector)

• Storage, SQL Server database- admin/backup, Offsite S3 Backups etc.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional

• Expert in network and systems administration (AWS Cloud) with a focus on public facing DMZ environments

• Experience in managing and setting up WAN and LAN

• Experience working with PCI-DSS environments (highly regarded)Experience working with stakeholders globally and supporting global IT teams

Network Infrastructure:

• Design, implement, and maintain (AWS VPC- Private and Public- DMZ architecture) secure cloud-hosted network infrastructure - including VPNs, Gateways, Switch, DNS/Route 53, Firewalls, Load balancers(ELB), VPC endpoints, AWS Direct Connect, AWS Transit Gateway, Client VPN endpoints, AWS site to site VPN (VGW to Customer Gateway)etc.

• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues to ensure seamless connectivity and performance.

Security Management:

• AWS - WAF, Advance Shield, Guard Duty, Inspector, KMS (key management service), Cloud Front etc. on the DMZ environments.

• Implement and manage security measures to protect systems, networks, and data.

• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and remediation activities to mitigate risks.

• Play a key role in assisting with annual PCI audit. 

Virtualization and Cloud Services:

• Manage a variety of AWS cloud services (in addition to those mentioned above) to optimize resource utilization and scalability. Includes EC2 instances, RDS (database service) Security Groups, Cloud Trail, IAM, and others. etc.

• Experience with SQL Server, IT security, operational procedures, and disaster recovery

• Experience with storage administration (EBS- Elastic Block storage).

• Experience with CI/CD tools like AWS Code Pipeline/Jump Server.

• Setting up email (SES) and SMS (SNS) from EC2 etc. 

Backup and Disaster Recovery:

• Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data protection and business continuity.

• Perform regular testing and updates to ensure readiness in case of an incident.

• Maintain AWS S3 offsite backups (with KMS) via VPC endpoints (gateway).

• Perform restore exercise time to time to validate backup.   

Design: 

• Strong Infrastructure and DMZ Design experience specially on the AWS cloud environment.  

Monitoring : 

• AWS cloud Watch and relevant services. 

Automation and Scripting:

• Utilize automation tools and scripting languages to streamline administrative tasks, improve efficiency, and reduce manual intervention.
