Job Responsibilities:
∎ Roles and responsibilities are not confine with the following write up rather any other roles can be assigned as per the requirement of organization and under the guidance of supervisor.
∎ Key Result #1: Security point person
∎ Provide day-to-day Safety and Security Management, and assurance, including: situation monitoring, information sharing and reporting, implementing mitigation measures, reporting, and evaluation.
∎ Timely and accurate reporting of all incidents affecting FH in Cox’s Bazar.
∎ Play an advisory role of JRRP and support management in any security related issues including on the need to develop, procedures, reports, and practices to address risks in relation to Government related issues.
∎ Build and maintain networks for information sharing and coordination among other INGOs, local authorities and other actors.
∎ Act as a focal of security for all facilitates/offices/sub offices.
∎ Identify the risk, ensure Security assessment are done in time, and are well communicated with all internal stakeholders
∎ Guide and lead all the facilities/office/sub office lead in terms of security issues
∎ Be a focal to communicate with all external security agency to ensure the smooth operations in terms of security issues
∎ Key Result #2: Enhance Security Capacity of FH
∎ Ensure all security related document are in place and are updated in a timely manner
∎ Ensure all reporting and documentation of security related documents for future references
∎ Develop and maintain the Safety and Security Management Plan and SOPs for the JRRP, and ensure relevant staff are familiar with its contents.
∎ Develop and maintain: Hibernation, Suspension, and Evacuation Plan, and through the field management ensure that the team understands it and all necessary preparation is in place all the time.
∎ Maintain oversight of the operational, security and cultural context in Cox’s Bazar, and advise other departments on contextual factors.
∎ Ensure the evacuation plan are in place and drill are taken place on regular basis so the staff are well aware about the evacuation plan and procedures
∎ Key Result #3: Enhanced Security Capacity of Staff
∎ Ensure that each new employee, international and national, receive appropriate security orientation within 48 hours of arrival into the country program. Provide a framework for field security orientations and ensure that security information is up-to-date and utilized.
∎ Coach staff to ensure performance or implementation issues are solved in a consultative manner which empowers staff decision making
∎ Oversee the development and delivery of capacity building plans to develop the requisite technical competencies in field staff.
∎ Lead on lessons learned exercises following incidents or near misses.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 59 years
∎ At least 2 years of relevant experience in security management and field of INGO.
∎ Trained in security management.
∎ Experience in the humanitarian sector.
∎ Training and certifications from accredited institutions such as IFRC, Red-R, ICRC, UN, etc.
∎ A commitment to working constructively with team members and a service oriented attitude.
∎ An understanding of the complexity and values of non-profit organizations.
∎ An ability to be flexible and demonstrate a high-level of interpersonal and cross-cultural skills including the ability to build collaborative relationships internally and externally with sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, social and political issues.
∎ A commitment to serving the poor and in full agreement with FH's foundation and beliefs as expressed in The Heartbeat: our Values, Vision, and Purpose;
∎ Excellent people skills including warmth and sensitivity, conversational, able to relate to and effectively communicate with people from different cultures (at various levels within the organization);
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, establish information and security networks, and coordinate with country authorities, International Organizations and local NGOs.
∎ Demonstrate excellent surveillance and emergency response skills;
∎ High integrity and a strong sense of professional ethics;
∎ Able to self-manage a diverse and dynamic set of responsibilities, proactively solve problems and / or suggest viable solutions while advancing goals and objectives;
∎ Demonstrated computer operating skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products;
∎ Google platform, and virtual technologies such as Skype and / or GoToMeeting;
∎ Medical fitness to live and travel in rural and urban areas with extreme conditions and limited medical support;
