Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Direct ensuring nursing care of the patients in the health facility 24/7.
∎ Initiate emergency treatment, stabilization of patients, ensuring adequate patient monitoring in all medical departments as per SOP and National Guidelines.
∎ Responsible for dressing of wounds, minor injuries, and skin infections, and administration of drugs as prescribed by doctors.Responsible for maintaining excellent infection control standards at the facility level.
∎ Support the activities of other nurses and doctors. Triage at the beginning of the clinic work along with Clinic Lead/Supervisor (visual assessment).
∎ Support pharmacy and dispensing medicines from a dispensary.
∎ Observe and adhere to universal medical ethics. Always adhere to strict IPC protocols during patient care.
∎ Follow the instructions of the Incoordination doctor in the field.
∎ Support in referring patients to the secondary/tertiary hospital as an escort doing immediate management in an ambulance in coordination with doctors and proper handover.
∎ Oversee nursing function and safeguarding in the facility.
∎ Assign nursing staff to their respective duty zones.
∎ Process and arrange any referral (patient counselling and ambulance arrangement).
∎ Maintain a high level of infection control standards in the facility.
∎ Provide audit support to Doctor/ Clinic Lead/ Field Admin team.
∎ Support with autoclaving and other sterilization/disinfection processes.
∎ Promote the prevention of sexual misconduct, sexual exploitation, abuse, harassment, trafficking, shaming, bullying, or any type of harm among communities, program participants, team members and partners.
∎ Facilitate Safeguarding messaging with communities, program participants, team members and partners to raise awareness and promote the reporting of safeguarding issues through Community System for Accountability and Feedback (C-SAFE) and EthicsPoint.
∎ Act as a reporting avenue for safeguarding issues, and facilitate relevant resources (safety, security, well-being) to survivors in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
