Experience:

• Bachelor of Science (BSc)
• Diploma

• BSC or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited academic institution; and recognized & registered by Bangladesh Nursing Council (BNC).

• At least 2 years

• At least two years of operational and clinical experience in referral/medical support and coordination.

• Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Power point

• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability in dealing with people of various backgrounds, ages, etc; respect for diversity.

• Previous work in Government health system will add value to the position.

• Working experience in Cox’s Bazar district and/or knowledge of the Rohingya crisis will be a plus.

Job Responsibility:

• Be based at referral hospitals (Noakhali) and perform referral coordination and administration including coordination with health facilities and referral hospitals for patient referral, transfer, admission, discharge and return.

• Check the availability and functionality of medical instruments and supplies in the ambulances for emergency support

• Collaborate with Emergency Rooms, Outdoors and In-patients wards of the referral hospitals for timely provision of medical assistance to the referred patients.

• Coordinate with Senior Project Assistant (Referral) and National Programme Officer (Health Coordination) for approval of investigations, medicine and medical equipment procurement.

• Prepare programmatic and financial reports in relation to patient referral and treatment at respective referral base.

• Keep records of all referred cases in appropriate template and share the analysis to National Programme Officer (Health Coordination) on weekly/monthly basis.

• Coordinate with the referral hospital authorities for smooth and timely management of patients without unnecessary expensive medication or any form of harassment.

• Be flexible for travel with patients from one hospital to another to provide necessary medical and coordination support.

• Perform such other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Monthly gross salary for this position is BDT 49,504.08.
