Nodi Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Quality Controller to ensure quality standards across raw materials, work-in-progress items, finished products, and field-level production operations. The incumbent will play a key role in maintaining customer specifications, reducing defects and rework, supporting production teams, coordinating with artisans and production centers, and ensuring that products meet company and customer requirements.
The position is based in Haluaghat and requires frequent travel to production centers in Chilmari, Gaibandha, Kurigram, and surrounding char areas.
Implement quality control procedures throughout the production process, from raw material receiving to final delivery.
Inspect raw materials, yarn, fabric, work-in-progress items, stitching/finishing work, packaging, and finished products to ensure compliance with approved standards.
Check product quality against approved samples, customer specifications, measurements, color, finishing, workmanship, and company requirements.
Identify defects, quality issues, and causes of rejection or rework, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure proper segregation, tagging, and follow-up of rejected, reworked, and approved products.
Maintain quality inspection records, checklists, defect reports, and documentation for management review.
Monitor production activities from a quality perspective to ensure that defects are prevented at the early stage of production.
Coordinate with weaving centers, artisans, supervisors, and production teams to maintain consistent quality output.
Assist in monitoring production progress where quality issues may affect delivery timelines.
Ensure efficient use of raw materials by reducing wastage, rejection, and unnecessary rework.
Support production teams in solving quality-related problems and improving workmanship standards.
Coordinate with customers and internal teams regarding product specifications, sampling, quality requirements, and delivery schedules.
Support product development, sample preparation, and sample approval activities from a quality point of view.
Review order requirements and ensure that production teams clearly understand approved quality standards before production starts.
Coordinate with suppliers and production teams regarding raw material quality and suitability for specific orders.
Follow up on customer feedback, complaints, and quality improvement initiatives.
Conduct regular visits to weaving and production centers to inspect quality at the field level.
Monitor loom utilization, workmanship, production efficiency, and quality compliance at production centers.
Provide technical guidance and quality-related feedback to center supervisors and artisans.
Ensure compliance with production plans, approved samples, and quality standards at the field level.
Collect and analyze quality and production-related data from centers and prepare management reports.
Identify field-level quality risks, operational bottlenecks, and areas for improvement, and recommend practical solutions.
Prepare daily, weekly, and periodic quality reports, including inspection findings, rejection status, rework status, and corrective actions.
Maintain proper records of quality inspections, customer specifications, samples, and production quality data.
Share quality findings with the Production Manager / Head of Operations for timely decision-making.
Based in Haluaghat, Mymensingh.
Candidate must be willing to reside in or around Haluaghat.
Frequent travel to Chilmari, Gaibandha, and Kurigram, as well as to project production centers in char areas, is required.
Ability and willingness to travel extensively and work in remote field locations is essential.
Diploma in Textile Engineering, Textile Technology, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field may also apply.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in quality control, quality assurance, production, merchandising, or manufacturing operations.
Experience in textile, handloom, apparel, handicrafts, or artisan-based production systems will be preferred.
Experience in field-based quality monitoring, production center coordination, and artisan/team supervision will be an advantage.
Strong understanding of quality control and quality assurance practices.
Practical knowledge of textile, handloom, apparel, or handicraft product quality standards.
Ability to inspect raw materials, work-in-progress items, finished products, measurements, color, finishing, workmanship, and packaging quality.
Sound knowledge of production process monitoring from a quality perspective.
Practical knowledge of merchandising and order requirements will be an advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and corrective action follow-up skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with artisans, supervisors, suppliers, and internal teams.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and reporting tools.
Ability to work independently, travel frequently, and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
