Experience:
Master’s degree in journalism from a recognized university. Master’s degree in communication and public relations, mass communication or related subject will be an added advantage. Minimum second division/ class is required in all educational levels.
5 years’ working experience as a Public Relations Officer or similar PR role
Experience in managing media relations (online, broadcast and print)
Background in researching, writing and editing publications
Familiarity with video/photo editing.
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to work well under pressure
Creativity and problem-solving aptitude
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Strategic thinking and planning.
Crisis management and conflict resolution.
Knowledge of social media and marketing trends.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks
Working knowledge of common office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Working knowledge of graphic design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.

Founded with the motto of `Divine and Humanitarian Service`, over last 67 years DAM has been serving the human community for improved living conditions enhancing people`s capacities to maximally utilize their inner potentials. DAM`s current diversified works encompass multi-dimensional field programs and self-governing institutions in education, health and economic development sectors in Bangladesh. Now, DAM is going to recruit a competent and self-motivated individual for the position of Public Relations Officer for Public Relations Division.
Job Responsibilities:
Build strong relationships and networks with colleagues, clients and the media and answer enquiries from the media and other organizations;
Monitor the media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts newswires, social media sites and blogs, for opportunities for clients;
Address inquiries from the media and other parties;
Track media coverage`s and monitor responses from the readers;
Prepare and submit PR reports;
Write and edit in-house magazines, case studies, speeches, articles and annual reports;
Prepare and supervise the production of publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs and multimedia programmes;
Manage and update information and engage with participating social media sites such as Twitter and Face book;
Prepare regular client reports and attend client meetings;
Foster good community relations through events (such as press conferences, exhibitions, officials’ interview, open days press tours and promotional events), source speakers and seek out sponsorship opportunities;
Create and implement plans to enhance the organization`s reputation and brand awareness;
Write and distribute press releases, news articles, and other communications; act as the main point of contact for media inquiries and handle interviews;
Write, update and edit promotional materials and publications including social media posts, brochures, newsletters, speeches, videos, social media posting etc;
Track media coverage and public sentiment, analyze the results, and provide reports to management;
Prepare public statements and handle communication during emergencies or negative publicity to protect the organization`s reputation;
Speaking publicly at interviews, press conferences and presentations;
Provide information about new promotional opportunities and current PR campaigns’ progress to the authority;
Any other task as assigned by the authority;
Salary: TK. 30,000 -TK.40,000 ( Consolidated)
