Job Context:
∎ The position will support to implement Means to Lead project by ensuring Psychological support for mental health development of Women`s and girl`s in host communities so that the psychosocial wellbeing of women and girls are met in the response through in Ukhiya. The Psychosocial Counselors will also support the participants to develop their own strategies to improve their psychosocial well-being to support their self-development.
∎ The post holder will work closely with RW Welfare Society project teams and she will apply psychosocial support (PSS) methods to support women and adolescent girls in the Multi-Purpose Women`s Center. She will refer patients to needed services for mental health, livelihood, legal, shelter and case workers, as needed in line with international and local standards on case referrals. She also will safe, confidential and accurate recording of participant`s information and consultations in relevant registers system and facilitate the timely submission of required reports.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Regularly update the referral pathways for responding to GBV, Child Protection and MHPSS support in host communities / area of operations.
∎ Provide individual and group psychosocial support and counselling for women and girls who require support.
∎ Provide psychological support to patients who are coming to MPWC and facing mental Health problems.
∎ Organize and conduct workshops/sessions/trainings on psychosocial support and wellbeing for host communities, staff, and volunteers
∎ Conduct individual assessments on the psychosocial support needs host communities' women and adolescent girls who request for services, identify and plan for the support that maybe provided according to the MHPSS pyramid.
∎ Assist to MPWC participants to develop beneficial psychological and well-being practices to overcome Gender Base Violence (GBV) or other experiences of violence
∎ Ensure PSS and counselling participants safety, confidentiality, self-determination are respected, and that all consultations are conducted in a dignified and respectful manner.
∎ Design interventions to sensitize community members regarding psychosocial support, wellbeing and empowering them to develop own strategies to overcome consequences violence
∎ Refer patients to related service/ authorities center like health, legal in line with case management guidelines and follow-up of clients
∎ Assist to advocacy & networking for psychological wellbeing
∎ Any other task assigned by the Management from time to time

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2 years' experience in Psychosocial Support and Counselling in host or Rohingya Communities
∎ Completed trainings in in Psychosocial Support (PSS) and Counselling to provide sensitive and appropriate Psychosocial counselling in host communities.
∎ Completed Trainings in GBV, Protection and Child Protection in the Cox's Bazar response context.
∎ Ability to understand the cultural and political environment.
∎ Should be a teammate with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure
