Job Context:
∎ He/she will lead the design, mainstreaming and integration of protection programming across SI activities in Bangladesh, with special focus on Cox`s Bazar context.
∎ He/she will be supporting the local teams through capacity building and training on protection mainstreaming and integration.
∎ The position would be based in Teknaf required frequent visits to Cox`s Bazar, with an estimated 70/30 ratio.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Protection component mainstreaming, design and integration
∎ Contribute to the inclusion of protection activities in project proposals, in close collaboration with the Program Coordination team;
∎ Carry out assessments of protection needs (either through ad-hoc tools or integration in existing surveys), identify problems/gaps and propose/prioritize timely practical actions to respond to particular protection problems.
∎ Follow-up the use and review of the protection mainstreaming and integration toolkit
∎ Represent SI in Cox's Bazar sector meetings;
∎ Support the Field Coordinator and the DCD in the activities and methodologies planning in terms of protection and identify which means and resources will be needed;
∎ Make recommendations to ensure that protection issues are built into SI and INGOs advocacy strategy with special regard to the Rohingya UMNs context.
∎ Participate in building methodologies and strengthen the program teams' technical capacities;
∎ Capacity building, training and support of local teams on protection.

∎ Support field staff engaged with vulnerable groups to establish or maintain functional protection and S/GBV referral systems, and ensure that these systems are operational and monitored regularly;
∎ Support the MEAL team in promoting and implementing effective systematization and management of data related to protection to enhance monitoring, response and evaluation mechanisms;
∎ Provide technical guidance and support to SI on all protection related issues ensuring the areas of Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) and child protection are thoroughly understood by the teams;
∎ Coordination and inter-agencies synergies in Cox's Bazar
∎ Support the DCD in Cox's Bazar in ensuring effective coordination with UN agencies, LNGOs, INGOs, and other key stakeholders on protection issues and in the relevant protection forums, such as the protection cluster/working groups in Cox's Bazar, so to be in the loop of sectors decisions and tools development
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 4 years working experience in NGO sector in protection, human rights or in a related field.
∎ At least 1 year of experience in refugee crisis context.
∎ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
∎ Experience of working with persons of concern desirable
∎ Strong English Language skills.
Salary:
∎ Monthly gross 132,750 BDT & Other benefits as per ISR of Solidarités International.
