Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implement, monitor and report water quality analysis of SI programs, ensure the operation and the maintenance of SI laboratory, provide full support and training to WASH agents and water workers involved in analysis activities on the field.
∎ Water quality analysis:
∎ Responsible for the definition of water analysis strategy, location, sampling, statistics, etc...
∎ Collaborate with the Activity Managers and Program Managers in defining the strategy of controlling the good water quality
∎ Collect and analyse water samples according to the water analysis strategy
∎ Analyse water samples collected by field teams
∎ Fill the water analysis results sheets and update water test database
∎ Organise and plan the sampling of water from water points of SI
∎ Work closely with program team to ensure the successful implementation of filters for household water treatment regarding the testing of water quality at the household level
∎ Ensure that assigned activities are implemented according to program work plan and methodology validated by the management
∎ Support the WASH team to implement training for water analysis on the field
∎ Identify problems during implementation and suggest improvements on process, which includes regular visits to field sites to provide technical support to assigned field team and organize training if needed.
∎ Responsible for the purchase of material required for water analysis (lab material, equipment, etc...)
∎ Ensure that the materials and tools are stored in appropriate place and manner
∎ Ensure the maintenance and the proper operating of all SI material related to water analysis
∎ Ensure the material is properly used by field teams and organise training if needed
∎ Manage the stock of chemicals & materials under the supervision of his/her direct supervisor
∎ Maintain laboratory stock inventory and alert in advance PMs for consumables reordering
∎ Reporting / communication / representation:
∎ Report back to his/her line Manager before, any additional information related to WASH related activities or any event that may affect Solidarités International activities and security.
∎ Work in close collaboration with the Meal Assistant to ensure that water quality data is successfully integrated into the M&E tools.
∎ Produce a weekly report to managers regarding activities progress and analysis results according to formats
∎ Coordinate with support staff (logistic and administration) + all WASH staff involved on the program.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ The candidate must have technical experience in water analysis, Lab management chemicals management, knowledge in humanitarian WASH standards and water infrastructures.
∎ Specialized in Water and sludge quality testing.
∎ Familiar with testing equipment
∎ Minimum of 4-7 years professional experience in Water quality testing in Laboratory Management in humanitarian and/or development programs
∎ Interest in and enthusiasm for learning & not afraid of working hard to complete task
∎ Good communication, report writing and spoken English skills. Ability to meet deadline.
∎ Computer literacy in Microsoft Office
∎ Proficiency on local language and prior SI working experience will get preference.
Salary:
∎ Monthly Salary: 47500/- BDT
