Requirements:

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Reported to: Social Mobilization Officer-SASA
∎ Duty station: Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh
∎ Oversee and support all aspects of SASA! Together methodology for community leader and community activist.
∎ Support community leaders and community activists to implement SASA! Together methodology.
∎ Facilitate training on the SASA! Together based on training modules.
∎ Review and provide feedback (verbal and written) on adaptations of SASA! Together methodologies.
∎ Proactively contributes to quality and timely drafting of weekly, monthly reports.
∎ Work and engage community leaders as activist to prevent violence against women through SASA! Together methodology.
∎ Train community activists and local activists.
∎ Work on adaptation of SASA! Together tool kits.
∎ Provide Assistance in data collection, input in KoBo tool, conduct FGD, Community Assessment survey and community consultation in camps.
∎ Develop and implement training, workshops for institutional strengthening for GBV prevention and risk mitigation.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals for safeguarding implementation.
∎ Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Oversee and support the implementation of the SASA! Together methodology for community leaders, local activists and institutional allies, ensuring alignment with project goals.
∎ Facilitate training sessions to the CL, LA and IAs on the SASA! Together methodology using established training modules.
∎ Build and maintain positive relationships with community members, local leaders, women’s groups, and youth networks.
∎ Identify and support local champions for gender equality and violence prevention.
∎ Support the training of community activists and leaders in SASA! methodology.
∎ Conduct regular follow-up, mentoring, and coaching of community activists and volunteers.
∎ Work closely with the GBV and Protection team to ensure technical quality and alignment with best practices.
∎ Contribute to the development of monitoring tools and frameworks specific to SASA!
∎ Track and report on activity progress, successes, challenges, and lessons learned.
∎ Collect data, stories of change, and community feedback to inform ongoing programming.
