Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a social science/environmental science discipline
At least 3 years relevant experience. NGO work exposure and knowledge on WASH and climate change is desirable. Key technical skill on data management, capacity building on MEAL and reporting will be required.
Additional Requirements:
Proficient in the MS Office package.
Excellent communication skills in both English and Bangla.
Self-motivated, adaptable, a team player, and passionate about social development work.
The candidate must possess the ability and willingness to travel frequently.

Village Education Resource Center (VERC) is a national-level voluntary organization. The organization is registered under the Bureau of NGO Affairs and the Ministry of Social Welfare (Registration Nos. 133 and Dha-02282/89, respectively) and the Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA) (Registration No. 01275-00523-00017). VERC is seeking to recruit experienced and hardworking manpower for the following position under the project. “Civil society leadership in mobilizing for better WASH (CLIMB)” Supported by WaterAid Bangladesh. Key Responsibilities:
The Project Officer MEAL is responsible for assessing project performance, ensuring data integrity, and capturing institutional learning. This role goes beyond simple data collection; you will actively verify on-the-ground progress through field visits, analyze complex datasets to prove program impact to donors, and cultivate a culture of learning within the organization. The ideal candidate blends strong quantitative and qualitative data skills with a passion for fieldwork and continuous operational improvement.
Target Monitoring: Continually track day-to-day project activities against established indicators, benchmarks, and targets to ensure programs remain strictly on schedule.
Field Verification: Conduct regular field monitoring visits to project sites to observe implementations directly, audit data tracking methods, and verify progress firsthand.
Mixed-Methods Analysis: Process, clean, and analyze both quantitative data (surveys, metrics, statistics) and qualitative data (focus groups, interviews, case studies).
Impact Reporting: Synthesize findings into high-quality, compelling impact reports that demonstrate program efficacy, compliance, and value to institutional donors.
Institutional Memory: Systematically document "lessons learned," project success stories, challenges, and best practices to inform future program design.
Facilitate Reflection: Design and lead structured reflection meetings, learning circles, and workshops to share data findings with project implementation teams, ensuring insights drive real-time course corrections
Monthly consolidated salary: BDT 40,000-42,500. Other admissible benefits will be provided as per organizational policy and project provisions. The salary is inclusive of all applicable taxes; relevant taxes will be deducted at the source as per Government of Bangladesh rules.
