Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Science (MSc) in Agriculture, Aquaculture, Environment, Soil Science, Veterinary science or any other relevant discipline.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)

Job Context:
∎ Islamic Relief provides lifesaving humanitarian assistance to the FDMNs as they lack access to the basic needs of life. Since the beginning of the influx, Islamic Relief has been working with the Bangladesh Government and other implementing partners to support FDMNs living in Cox`s Bazar. We ensure food and non-food items for FDMNs living in Bhashanchar. We improve the safety and well-being of FDMNs by,
∎ Providing monthly food ration
∎ Providing water and sanitation
∎ Constructing wash blocks
∎ Installing tube-wells
∎ Distributing Ramadan food packs, Eid gifts and Qurbani meat
∎ Providing non-food items like LPG, hygiene kits and winter clothes to the families in Cox`s Bazar and Bhashan Char.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implementation of the Field Level Activities (55%).
∎ Ensure the implementation of all Agriculture, Livelihood, and NFI-related components of the project.
∎ Assist and guide the project staff to select rightsholders according to the guidelines for the project.
∎ Facilitate field-level training for the right holders and farmer's field schools and ensure agricultural inputs & other assets reach the right holders for proper and successful implementation.
∎ Ensure capacity assessment of rightsholders and prepare training/development plans.
∎ Provide input support and on-field solutions to the project team.
∎ Provide new concepts on agricultural (Crop, Livestock, and Fisheries) technology with the field team and rightsholders and motivate them to implement.
∎ Documentation and support to prepare project reports by supplying project-related data.
∎ Monitor and supervise the field-level project activities of Agriculture, Livelihood & NFI and project staff.
∎ Monitor and evaluate the progress of IGA and develop linkage with local markets.
∎ Assist the project team in providing technical support on Agriculture and Livelihood-related activities.
∎ Ensure to collection and analysis of information on the context for livelihoods and agriculture.
∎ Take initiatives to develop individual, need-based and appropriate household business plans.
∎ Ensure project-related financial support to the beneficiaries is done properly with transparency and related data are kept up to date.
∎ Prepare a service map of the camp area.
∎ Networking and market linkage (15%)
∎ Establish a network with the government agriculture department, livestock department, relevant sectors and other service providers to bring the project participants under various GO & NGO support.
∎ Establish a network with local GO, and NGO bodies and link their facilities with our project participants.
∎ Enhance market linkage with the local markets and value addition.
∎ Strengthen existing community groups & networks.
∎ Organise knowledge-sharing and technology-transferring sessions in collaboration with other livelihood actors.
∎ Establish a network with the CiC office as well as other stakeholders.
∎ Reporting and Documentation (15%).
∎ Ensure accurate record keeping and systematic documentation & filing.
∎ Provide information for monthly, interim, final reports, event reports and sectoral reports.
∎ Collect case stories from the field.
∎ Document best practices and lesson learnings.
∎ Collect visual documentation of agricultural, livelihood & NFI activities.
∎ Maintain proper documentation - event reports, success stories etc.
∎ Materials Development (10%)
∎ Develop flip charts and different awareness materials for field-level training.
∎ Develop training modules on aquaculture, agriculture, poultry goat rearing IGA etc
∎ Other Requirements (5%)
∎ Participate & involved with seasonal programs (Ramadan, Qurbani, Winterization, etc.) activities.
∎ Take initiatives to ensure the security of project staff and participants during the intervention.
∎ Support in the procurement of materials like requisition, follow-up etc.
∎ Facilitate donor/external visits and ensure that recommendations of visitors are addressed.
∎ Ensure CFRM in the project area and office.
∎ Willing and able to travel frequently for extended periods and to remote areas of the projects.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program's goals on safeguarding implementation and as well as Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Being a member of Islamic Relief as a child-friendly organization, it is the core responsibility and obligation of each staff member to understand and obey the IR Child Protection & PSEA Policy and respond accordingly as and when required.
∎ Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 45 years
∎ Experience in working in Agriculture, Aquaculture, livestock, forestry and environment-related projects.
∎ Experience in working in Seasonal Program Implementation, Monitoring and Reporting.
∎ Experience in working in the capacity to conduct surveys, post distribution monitoring (PDM)
∎ Project Monitoring and Evaluation Skills
