Experience:

• At least 3 years

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in social sciences or any other related subject.

• A Specialization in procurement, capacity building, and event management.

• At least 3 years

• Age At most 45 years

• 3 years’ work experience in an NGO / Development Organization.

• Good understanding about the context of Bangladesh, especially issues related to persons with disabilities, community-based rehabilitation (CBR), and government policies.

• Skilled in managing time, leading teams, analyzing problems, handling multiple tasks, giving presentations, writing reports, and communicating clearly.

• Good at adapting to change, working in teams, building relationships and experience with networking.

• Excellent at using email and the internet for communication.

• Can write reports in both Bangla and English.

• Strong computer skills, especially in MS Office (Word in Bangla and English, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), with a focus on Excel and working with numbers.

• Has a valid motorcycle driving license.

• Experience with procurement and compliance is a plus.

*** Job Responsibilities:

• Help the project team with all parts of the project, like planning, running activities, checking progress, and reviewing results.

• Help create training materials, especially about making things more accessible and inclusive.

• Handle purchase and procurement tasks for both field and head office levels.

• Act as a technical support person to conduct capacity enhancement training for local government staff and partner organizations.

• Make sure the project maintains high-quality standard by using a good monitoring system and all good practices are documented.

• Work with the location coordinator and monitoring officer to write and send project reports on time, following donor rules.

• Keep track of daily project progress and check if it matches the work plan and goals.

• Work with the team to find out what support or training is needed and help arrange it.

• Track project expenditures, make sure the budget is followed, and ensure all financial rules and documents are in place.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

• Adhere to CDD's Children and Adults at Risk Safeguarding policy, ensuring the safety and well-being of all project participants.

• Promote a safe and secure environment for all participants and stakeholders of the project.

• Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and follow the designated reporting procedures.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Perform any other responsibility/ special duty delegated by project and CDD management.

• The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a not for profit organization established in 1996 to develop a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities. CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities in how to be more inclusive whilst also enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.

• CDD is accepting application for the position of ‘Project Officer’ under a project named ‘Anticipate, Include, Act: Strengthening Community Resilience in Kurigram’ to be implemented with the support of CBM International. The duration of the project is till 30th June 2027. The selected candidate will initially be hired for a three-month probationary period. Upon successful completion of this period, his/her employment contract will be renewed on an annual basis.
