Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science in Agriculture/Nutrition with at least 4 years working experience in any National/International NGO. Educational qualification may be relaxed in case of highly qualified candidate.
Job Context:
∎ Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) invites applications for the following positions of SHOUHARDO III Plus Program , in partnership with CARE Bangladesh and funding support of USAID. The goal of the project is to "Improve gender equitable food security, nutrition and resilience of vulnerable people living in the char and haor in Bangladesh by 2024. DAM will implement the SHOUHARDO III plus program in Sunamganj ( Taherpur & Dowarabazar Upazillas) and Hobiganj ( Baniachong & Ajmiriganj Upazillas) district supported by CARE Bangladesh from November 2022 to July 2024.
∎ Project Officer- Agriculture & Nutrition (SHOIII Plus)
∎ Employment Status: Contractual Initial contract up to July 31, 2024
∎ Job Location: Taherpur & Dowarabazar upazilla of Sunamgonj district and Baniachong & Azmirigonj upazila of Hobigonj district.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead Agriculture & Livelihoods and Nutrition components at Upazila level.
∎ Provide technical support to the project team; capacity building of Field. Facilitator in the area of Agriculture, Financial Inclusion and Nutrition.
∎ Responsible to mobilize Local Service Providers (LSPs) in the area of Agriculture, Financial Inclusion, Nutrition.
∎ Support program teams including FFs to integrate Agriculture, Financial Inclusion, Nutrition, and Gender towards achieving program goal.
∎ Maintain coordination and collaboration with Upazila level Govt. departments (DAE, DLS, DoL, UpZ Health & Family Planning Office) including private sector's partners.
∎ Provide day-to day operational support to Field Facilitators including performance management, capacity building etc.
∎ Responsible for timely implementation of DIP activity.
∎ Prepare QPR, AR, Success story or any other report program need.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by PM.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Having solid working experience in Nutrition and Agriculture components preferably USAID funded program
∎ Good knowledge on Gender , Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse(PSEA) & Safe Guarding policy
∎ Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bengali.
∎ Computer skill on MS word, excel, power point, virtual communication (zoom, teams etc.) and others.
