Job Context:
∎ Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) invites applications for the expansion of SHOUHARDOIII DRR Activity, in partnership with CARE Bangladesh and funding support of USAID. The goal of the activity is to "Foster locally led, gender inclusive and policy informed community resilience in Bangladesh, with particular focus on the most vulnerable and flood-prone areas of Bangladesh ". DAM will implement the SHOUHARDO III DRR Activity in Sunamganj (Taherpur & Dowarabazar Upazillas) and Netrokona (Madan & Khaliajhuri Upazillas) district supported by CARE Bangladesh from November2023.

∎ Employment Status: Contractual Initial contract up to August, 2025
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for timely and quality implementation on behalf of the organization: HH repair, plinth raising at HH and community level, Shelter repair and maintenance work, participant's training and input distribution, and capacity building; Local Service Provider's (LSPs) capacity building, community mobilization; coordination with stakeholders and reporting.
∎ Capacity development of project staff.
∎ Guide and support program staffs, LSPs and volunteers to implement program intervention effectively.
∎ Supervise all field level activities to ensure that all staffs are working according to the project work plan. S/he will be responsible for local level coordination to ensure community and administration's buy-in; provide systematic feedback for smooth implementation of program activities in all the targeted Unions and Upazilas.
∎ Responsible for supporting the preparation and full implementation of the Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Plan and Environmental Mitigation and Management Plan (EMMP) and Climate Risk Management Plan (CMP).
∎ Responsible for timely reporting (narrative, financial and MEL) and ensuring environmental, quality control and administrative/ financial compliance of the donor.
∎ Responsible for program planning (annual, quarterly and monthly plans), implementation, budgeting, financial management, staff management, report writing and monitoring & evaluation.
∎ Maintain regular liaison with the Senior Program Coordinator and Program Manager-SHOUHARDO III DRR to plan and implement all activities and timely and adequate donor reporting.
∎ Willing to perform other tasks assigned by management
Additional Requirements:
∎ preference will be given to the candidates having degree in Geography & Environmental Science, Disaster Management and Agricultural Science with at least 3 years' relevant working experience in any National/International NGO;
∎ At least 10 years' working experience in any National/International NGO; and at least 05 years' experience in similar position, particularly in DRR & Resilience, Agriculture & Livelihood and Nutrition project;
∎ Clear understanding on DRR/Resilience, Livelihoods and Nutrition project dynamics integrating women empowerment, youth, private sector, market engagement and financial inclusion;
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bengali;
∎ Computer skill on MS word, excel, power point, virtual communication (zoom, teams etc.) and others.
∎ Good Knowledge on Gender, Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse(PSEA) and Safeguarding Policy
Salary: Tk. 60000 (Monthly)
