Job Context:
∎ Deshifarmer Limited, a leading agricultural company in Bangladesh, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to oversee contract farming operations in the Jashore city area. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing a team of 3500 farmers, ensuring efficient production practices, and fostering strong relationships with various stakeholders. This is a full-time position that requires expertise in agriculture, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate activities to drive progress.
∎ Job Tenure: 1 year, with the possibility of extension based on performance.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage and supervise a team of 3500 farmers in the Jashore city area, providing guidance and support for optimal production.
∎ Coordinate with Channel Partners (CP), District Agricultural Extension (DAE), and District Agricultural Machinery (DAM) to ensure smooth execution of contract farming activities.
∎ Develop and implement strategies to improve agricultural productivity, quality, and efficiency in collaboration with farmers.
∎ Conduct regular field visits to monitor farming practices, address challenges, and provide technical advice.
∎ Collaborate with the Territory Executives and QC Executive/Advisor who report to the Project Manager, ensuring their performance aligns with the project objectives.
∎ Establish and maintain strong relationships with farmers, stakeholders, and local communities.
∎ Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations throughout the farming operations.
∎ Analyze data, prepare reports, and provide recommendations to senior management regarding project progress and performance.
∎ Stay updated on the latest agricultural technologies, trends, and best practices, and implement them as appropriate.
∎ Plan and organize training programs for farmers to enhance their knowledge and skills.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Strong knowledge of agricultural practices, crop management, and agribusiness.
∎ Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a diverse team of farmers.
∎ Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities to liaise with various stakeholders.
∎ Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
∎ Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under challenging circumstances.
∎ Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region.
Salary:
∎ Salary: 30k to 40k based on qualifications and experience.
