Experience:
HVAC, refrigeration, or other technical certifications will be an added advantage. Gas Safety Training, AutoCAD (MEP), HACCP / Food Safety Certification,
Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for kitchen and mechanical operations.
Ensure safety and compliance of all engineering systems.
Support management in vendor evaluation, procurement, and quality control.
Participate in maintenance audits and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
To plan, execute, and manage kitchen and mechanical engineering systems for hotel and real estate projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and operational efficiency of Borak Real Estate Ltd. The Project Engineer will play a critical role in coordinating engineering activities, supervising contractors, and supporting smooth project delivery.
Review kitchen and laundry layout drawings, equipment schedules, and specifications in coordination with Architect, F&B, and the kitchen & laundry consultant.
Ensure compliance with hotel brand standards, HACCP, food safety, local authority (BNBC), fire & life safety, and hygiene regulations.
Coordinate with MEP teams to finalize requirements for required facilities.
Supervise installation of kitchen and laundry equipment as per approved shop drawings and manufacturer guidelines.
Review and coordinate MEP rough-in plans, ensuring correct locations, sizes, and termination points for power, water, drainage, gas, and ventilation.
Ensure proper coordination between civil, architectural, MEP, gas, and exhaust works.
Ensure correct setting out, alignment, leveling, anchoring, and vibration isolation of equipment.
Ensure execution strictly follows approved drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
Monitor quality, safety, and workmanship during installation and commissioning.
Verify and coordinate energy load schedules for all kitchen and laundry equipment with the MEP and electrical teams.
Coordinate installation and testing of exhaust hoods, ducting, make-up air systems, and airflow balancing.
Supervise installation and certification of kitchen hood fire suppression systems and ensure proper interface with the fire alarm and firefighting systems.
Coordinate installation of gas piping systems, including safety shut-off valves, leak detection systems, and compliance with fire & safety regulations.
Identify site issues, raise RFIs, and ensure timely snag rectification and close-out.
Support handover and pre-opening readiness with the hotel operator and engineering team.
Supervise installation of walk-in chillers, walk-in freezers, cold rooms, and refrigerated storage systems as per approved drawings and specifications.
Coordinate MEP rough-in requirements for cold rooms.
Ensure proper installation of insulated panels, vapor barriers, doors, and thermal seals; anti-slip flooring; coved skirting; and hygienic finishes.
Coordinate condensing units, evaporators, ventilation, and heat rejection with MEP and HVAC teams.
Verify temperature zoning, control systems, alarms, and monitoring as per operational requirements.
Ensure cold rooms comply with food safety, hygiene, HACCP, and fire & life safety standards.
Plan, supervise, and manage kitchen and mechanical engineering projects in hotels.
Ensure proper installation, maintenance, and functioning of HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment.
Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards.
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal departments for smooth execution of engineering operations.
Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance schedules, and troubleshooting of engineering systems.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and operational manuals
Provide technical support to operational staff and management for efficient kitchen and mechanical systems management.
