Experience:
Master’s degree in Development Studies, Social Science, Anthropology, Public Health, Gender Studies, etc. from a recognized University.
Minimum 5 years` progressive experience in public health, SRHR, or youth-focused programmes.
Experience of working with the government specially with the Health and Family Planning Department and well acquainted with
Experience working with youth groups, and community structures to strengthen civic participation and accountability.
Solid understanding of adolescent SRHR, AFHS standards, GBV prevention, MHPSS basics, and community sensitization approaches.
Experience implementing youth economic empowerment initiatives will be an added advantage.
Skills in training facilitation, staff mentoring, and capacity building.
Strong monitoring, data tracking, reporting, and documentation skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and partnership-building abilities.
Ability to travel regularly to remote field locations and manage multiple implementation sites.

Job Context
Partners in Health and Development (PHD) is a Bangladeshi development organization has been working in the public health sector over 32 years and currently implementing different projects in 21 districts. PHD intends to hire a competent project coordinator (PC) for Space to lead project activities in Kurigram and Sunamganj District, in support of Plan International, funded by SIDA.
Overall impact of the project will be to contribute to a vibrant and pluralistic civil society where children and youth, particularly girls and young women aged 10-24, are empowered, exercise their rights and enjoy gender equality. PHD will be implementing activities under component three- Sexual and Reproductive Health & Rights at the mentioned two districts.
Objectives of the Position
Lead and manage district-level implementation of SRHR, adolescent-friendly health services (AFHS), community sensitization, youth engagement, and YEE activities.
Ensure effective project planning, monitoring, budgeting, and staff/volunteer management for timely and quality delivery of results.
Strengthen civic space by enabling adolescents and youth groups to participate in dialogues, scorecards, consultations, and accountability forums.
Maintain strong coordination with government platforms, health facilities, community structures, and consortium partners to ensure smooth implementation.
Responsibilities:
Project & Team Management
Manage workplans, budgets, team members, volunteers, peer educators, and activity schedules across project locations.
Ensure compliance with donor requirements, consortium standards, and internal policies.
Community Engagement & Civic Space
Oversee community dialogues and awareness sessions on ASRHR, GBV, early pregnancy, MHPSS basics, hygiene, nutrition, and policy literacy.
Support youth-led civic actions such as scorecards, consultations, and social media dialogues on SRHR issues.
Supervise SRH Volunteers and youth groups to mobilize communities, facilitate sessions, and strengthen voice and accountability.
Service Provider Capacity & Health System Strengthening
Coordinate orientations and capacity building for health service providers on ASRHR laws, policies, and AFHS standards.
Facilitate establishment/refurbishment of adolescent clubs/corners and strengthen facility management committees.
Ensure smooth liaison with local government for supplies, equipment, and medicine availability at service centers.
Strengthen referral linkages and documentation systems.
Youth Empowerment & YEE Implementation
Oversee TOTs and training for peer educators on SRHR.
Coordinate youth skill development: financial literacy, entrepreneurship, green jobs, agriculture/ICT skills, and mentorship.
Engage vocational institutes and market actors for youth training, incubation, and job placement opportunities.
Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation
Conduct regular field monitoring and provide hands-on guidance to ensure quality and timely implementation.
Lead youth-led scorecard surveys and documentation of progress, challenges, and best practices.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and donor reports along with case studies and activity documentation.
Coordination & Representation
Maintain strong coordination with district/upazila health offices, LGIs, government platforms, and Plan International.
Represent PHD in coordination meetings, reviews, and district-level forums.
