Educational Requirements:
∎ BSc/M.Sc. /PhD. in Botany / a bachelor's degree in horticulture, plant sciences or agriculture.
∎ 3-7 years experiences on Tissue Culture, Green House & Agro Farming work.

∎ 3 to 7 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Demonstrated abilities in mammalian cell culture, live cell assays and methods including transfection, cryopreservation and biosafety procedures.
∎ Technical proficiency in operation and user training of standard cell biology laboratory equipment including microscopes, plate readers, flow cytometers, liquid handlers and centrifuges.
∎ Excellent organizational, technical, and trouble-shooting skills with attention to detail.
∎ Capacity of working independently as well as collaboratively as part of the project team
∎ Excellent analytical skills with an ability to communicate complex concepts in a concise, straightforward manner.
∎ participate in planning and execution of the laboratory sessions
∎ supervise teaching of mammalian cell culture, cell-based assay techniques, data analysis and reporting to upper level undergraduate science majors
∎ act as the facility gateway manager for the TC learning laboratory including managing access, inventory and expenses
∎ Preparation of plant tissue culture media and stock solutions are also expected.
∎ The individuals will also be expected to actively participate in activities within and outside their area of expertise, including supporting plant production and screening in greenhouse and field environments when needed.
∎ Perform any other jobs as and when assigned by the management.
∎ Knowledge and/or experience in preparing plant tissue culture media.
∎ Cut and transfer plants to fresh medium using aseptic/sterile technique
∎ Dissect and test tissues or cells for viruses and other diseases
∎ Prepare selected tissues or cells for reproduction
∎ Assist with plant media preparation suitable for the species to be cloned
∎ Maintain clean, sterile equipment and facility
∎ Set up and operate equipment, including microscope, environmental chambers and centrifuges
∎ Greenhouse coordinator must be experts in horticulture, plant cultivation, and pest and disease control and greenhouse technology. They must have strong communication, training, management and supervisory skills, as well as knowledge of safety and environmental regulations. Computer and recordkeeping skills are essential. Greenhouse coordinator working in commercial facilities also need strong customer service, budgeting and inventory management skills. People working in greenhouses must be able to work in warm, humid conditions.
∎ Agro farming coordinator directs and coordinates worker activities, such as planting, irrigation, chemical application, harvesting, grading, payroll, and recordkeeping.
∎ Contracts with farmers or independent owners for raising of crops or for management of crop production. Coordinates growing activities with those of engineering, equipment maintenance, packing houses, and other related departments.
∎ Analyzes market conditions to determine acreage allocations. Confers with purchasers and arranges for sale of crops.
∎ Records information, such as production, farm management practices, and parent stock, and prepares financial and operational reports. Analyzes soil to determine type and quantity of fertilizer required for maximum production.
∎ Inspects equipment to ensure proper functioning. Inspects orchards and fields to determine maturity dates of crops or to estimate potential crop damage from weather.
∎ Plans and directs development and production of hybrid plant varieties with high yield or disease and insect resistant characteristics.
∎ Purchases machinery, equipment, and supplies, such as tractors, seed, fertilizer, and chemicals. Hires, discharges, transfers, and promotes workers, enforces safety regulations, and interprets policies.
∎ Negotiates with bank officials to obtain credit from bank. Evaluates financial statements and makes budget proposals.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ At least 3-7 year(s) in relevant field & working full time in a laboratory setting/ field work.
∎ Experienced person on Plant Tissue Culture/Green House/ Agro farming will get preference
∎ Knowledge about the planning, procurement rules and budget preparation.
∎ Sound knowledge in the areas of office administration.
∎ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
∎ Capacity to manage Project Partners, Stakeholders and Entrepreneurs and large staff team.
∎ Overall capacity and experienced to manage an organization.
∎ Computer proficiency on MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power point.
∎ Target and customer oriented
