Job Responsibilities:
∎ As a Program Officer, you will support and strengthen iProbono's activities in Bangladesh. You will work with our team in Bangladesh to oversee the implementation of ongoing activities and develop new ones in line with iProbono's program strategy and broader vision. You will have a strong commitment to social justice, access to justice, and human rights values, a high level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness.
∎ Support the Senior Legal Officer - Bangladesh (SLO-BD) and members of the South Asia team to implement ongoing activities in Bangladesh aligned with the organisation's vision, mission, and objectives.
∎ Manage the administrative duties, logistical activities and financial accounts for our Bangladesh Program along with the SLO-BD - including efficient use of Wrike/Slack and other management systems as required.
∎ Assist in research and logistics of Street Law training undertaken by iProbono on Economic, Social and Cultural rights.
∎ Assist in research and program development in collaboration with the SLO-BD, JLO-BD, the Senior Program Officer for South Asia (SPO-SA) and the Managing Director (MD).
∎ Ensure effective program reporting in coordination with the Senior Program Officer, South Asia (SPO-SA).
∎ Assist SLO-BD in monitoring the ongoing developments in legal aid space and pro bono policies in Bangladesh.
∎ Manage and strengthen relationships with existing partners and stakeholders and identify and develop new ones, as required.
∎ Coordinate with the Legal Officer - Bangladesh (LO-BD) for case updates.
∎ Coordinate with and support the Communications team based in Delhi, India as required.
∎ Represent iProbono in Bangladesh and at relevant events and forums.
