Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Leading and overseeing the implementation of the project;
∎ Ensuring that project activities are implemented according to established timelines, budgets, and standards;
∎ Provide strategic direction and overall planning, management, operation and monitoring of programs and financial matters, administration, donor compliance, coordination with stakeholders including Govt. related to function;
∎ Ensure effective and efficient operation of respective program including financial and administration, communications, and recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve the strategic goals;
∎ Regular financial monitoring of the projects to ensure effective utilization of the budget;
∎ Supervising and mentoring of staffs and volunteers involved in the project;
∎ Effectively communicating with Donor, government authorities, community leaders and other stakeholders related to the project and provide required information on time;
∎ Staff evaluation, appraisal and staff development;
∎ Supporting the MEAL team to have a robust monitoring and evaluation operational plan and ensuring of the project activates, it’s implementation of monitoring activities;
∎ Develop and oversee program work plans and budgets based on expected program outputs and results;
∎ Regularly preparing and submitting progress reports to donors, partners, and stakeholders; highlighting the achievements, challenges, and financial status of the project;
∎ Represent GUK in key external platforms, coordination mechanisms and national events;
∎ Regular update the project progress and challenges to the senior management and ensure timely resolving of the challenges;
∎ Ensure that the organization's financial, logistics, security and human resources policies and procedures are fully implemented in relation to all project staff;
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation;
∎ Ensure appropriate coordination/approval with all humanitarian partners as well as with Govt. authorities (RRRC, CiC, DC, UNO, sector, camp management) and local structures;
∎ Ensure the establishment/maintenance of appropriate sectoral coordination mechanisms, including working groups at the national and local level;
∎ Lead the process for report writing including e-Face report system;
∎ Regular communication with UNFPA/Donor organization,
∎ Regular field visit of 10 Women Led Community Center (WLCC) and working area in the Camp & host Community;
∎ Conduct staff coordination meeting in regular basis and provide feedback & instruction for quality implementation of project activities.
∎ Job Context:
∎ Gana Unnayan Kendra (GUK) is implementing the UNFPA funded “Engaging Rohingya and host community women, men, boys and girls in social change through mobilization methods that empower them to prevent and address GBV and harmful gender-related practices” since 2017 in the Rohingya refugee camps and the surrounding host communities.
∎ Job Responsibilities:
∎ To support the overall project implementation, we are looking for highly motivated and qualified incumbent to perform the role of Programme Manager under the implementing partner, GUK. S/he will need to take on challenges to ensure a rapid, effective, and timely response, holding overall responsibility for project achievements and results
