∎ Minimum Three (3) to Five (5) years of practical experience in implementing development projects
∎ Experience in developing awareness massages and tools on anti-human-trafficking and safe migration related issues;
∎ Demonstrate positive attitude and sensitivity to support vulnerable and at-risk groups, and communities;
∎ Understanding of gender and diversity issues;
∎ Capable in interpersonal communication skills in English and Bangla; and
∎ Basic computer proficiency: i.e. MS Office and communication via email
∎ Community engagement and coordination and communication with stakeholders will be given priority
∎ Good Communication, Coordination and maintain liaison with communities, local government, local Administration, civil society groups and local stakeholders including Government
∎ Ability to work in a team with good interpersonal skills.
∎ Candidate should have learning attitude, well behavior and proactive attitude
∎ Ability to prioritize activities to act and decide promptly.
∎ Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bengali;
∎ Ability to communicate with people from different cultures and backgrounds;

∎ Taking effective initiative in implementing project activities in collaboration with other team members.
∎ Support team in develop different awareness materials and tools i.e. POT, puppet, TIE and other digital materials.
∎ Assist PC to ensure project activities are implemented in a timely manner
∎ Support the community at-risk of human trafficking through identify and refer them to relevant service providing organization.
∎ Assist team in preparing quarterly, half annual and annual program report
∎ Attend regular basis in Government meeting and other coordination meeting in working districts;
∎ Maintain the confidentiality of project document and organizational regulations and implement it at his/her jurisdiction.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by supervisor/ management.

∎ Rupantar is a development organization has been working in Democracy & Political empowerment, Environment, Disaster Management & Climate Change adaptation, Peace & Tolerance, Children & Youth Rights and Popular Media & Folk Theatre. Rupantar is now inviting applications from suitable experienced and interested candidate to work for filling up the following job vacancies to work in a counter trafficking focused project supported by Winrock International dealing with Counter Trafficking and Safe Migration based in Khulna & Satkhira District.

∎ Project Background:
∎ Ashshash for Men and Women Who Have Escaped Trafficking (Phase–II), is funded by the Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh and implemented by Winrock International. The main objective of the project is to ensure that “women and men who have escaped trafficking will restore their dignity and wellbeing and become self-sufficient”. The survivors will be provided psychosocial counseling support along with other social services and facilitated opportunities for skills-devolvement and entrepreneurship training. Upon completion of the training survivors will be placed in either wage-based and or self-employment. Furthermore, Ashshash will reach people in the project’s working areas; either directly or indirectly, through awareness-raising activities on factors that make people vulnerable to human trafficking, and to ensure the prevention of human trafficking. The four-year-long second phase of Ashshash will provide comprehensive and personalized packages of service-provision to the survivors of human trafficking in Bangladesh.

∎ POSITION SUMMARY:
∎ Program Officer (PO) will work under the direct oversight of Ashshash’s Awareness and Prevention Partner (APP) across Khulna and Satkhira district. The PO will assisst Project Coordinator in implementing project activities to ensure that the local communities are aware and trained on the prevention of human trafficking. The PO will support project in developing capacity of CTC and CTIP activist, maintain liaison with counter-trafficking activist groups and youth groups, and members of at-risk communities. PO will support overall project activities including community empowerment, capacity development of CTIP activists and change-agents, development of awareness materials, and identification and refer at-risk community to the services. The PO must ensure compliance with Winrock International’s ‘Code of Conduct’ and ‘Do No Harm Policy’, whilst maintaining privacy and confidentiality of information respective to each survivor.
