∎ Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication from any reputed university.
Job Context:
∎ Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a non-government development organization founded in 1958 by Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah, an eminent educationist, reformer, and Sufi with the aim of social and spiritual development of entire human community. DAM has been contributing for the betterment of the disadvantaged population through operating 35 institutions and also 8 sectors of development. Health Sector is one of the core sectors of DAM which has also been operating 7 institutions and 15 donor funded projects.
∎ DAM Health Sector is going to recruit a competent and self-motivated individual for the position of Program Officer (Media) under Health Sector.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for all media related works like: media advocacy, media engagement, media campaign, generate reports, organize orientation/training with media, form a media group,;
∎ Organize meetings with journalists, conduct social media campaign;
∎ Responsible for press release and cover all the event news in the print, online and electronic media and responsible for develop and posting various video clips, event news, write up/ blog, pictures and project related information in the Facebook, twitter, Instagram, YouTube, tumbler, and LinkedIn, etc;
∎ Provide support to the project staffs for organizing various activities;
∎ Responsible for documentation and media reports;
∎ Responsible for write and publish article in different news media
∎ Responsible for arrange TV talkshow and non-budgetary media event
∎ Regular advocacy (day to day communication and follow-up) with the media house;
∎ Prepare and submit monthly communication reports, monthly media strategies and media analysis reports;
∎ Analysis media activities and identify the gaps and plan for minimize the gaps and ensure the media engagements as much as possible.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ 5+ years of comprehensive work experience in Journalism and Mass Communication;
∎ Experience on health and economic reporting will be preferable;
∎ Experience in graphics design, preparation of social media template will be preferable;
∎ Excellent organizational and multi tasking ability, strong communication, report writing, presentation and negotiation skills;
∎ Proficient in English (oral and written).
∎ Age at most 45 years (Age may be considered for experienced candidate).
