Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters i from any reputed university. Masters in Public Health, Health Economics and Human Rights Law will be prioritized.
Job Context:
∎ Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a non-government development organization founded in 1958 by Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah, an eminent educationist, reformer, and Sufi with the aim of social and spiritual development of entire human community. DAM has been contributing for the betterment of the disadvantaged population through operating 35 institutions and also 8 sectors of development. Health Sector is one of the core sectors of DAM which has also been operating 7 institutions and 15 donor funded projects.
∎ DAM Health Sector is going to recruit a competent and self-motivated individual for the position of Program Officer (Advocacy) under Health Sector.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Advocacy with the relevant policy makers for health care financing;
∎ Deliver high-quality reporting, evaluation, and analysis to ensure the documentation of the progress;
∎ Mapping the policymakers and stakeholder list, developing an advocacy framework plan for the desired policy change;
∎ Identifying spokespersons/champions and involving them in relevant advocacy activities;
∎ Conducting workshops, conferences, seminars, policy events, roundtable discussions, and field visits targeting/involving policy-makers of relevant ministry and institutes;
∎ Assisting the team leader and project manager to organize different advocacy and sensitization meetings with relevant stakeholders;
∎ Provide regular status updates and reporting to senior management, donor and stakeholders;
∎ Supports the establishment of advocacy networks at the national level relevant policy makers;
∎ Developing communication materials on advocacy issue (fact sheets, media kits, policy briefs, photos, personal testimonies, apparel and/or video).
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ 5+ years of comprehensive work experience in the fields of health care financing, primary health care, immunization program and high level advocacy, preferably in the context of an NGO background will be preferable;
∎ Policy level advocacy on health care financing will treat as advantage;
∎ Excellent communication, report writing, presentation and negotiation skills;
∎ Proficient in English (oral and written).
∎ Age at most 45 years (Age may be considered for experienced candidate).
