Job Context:
∎ Report to: Asst. General Manager
∎ We are looking for a self-motivated and results-driven Production Manager to supervise the factory production operations by leading a technical resources team and effectively co-operating with various peer groups within the organization. As a production manager, you`ll oversee the production process, coordinating all production activities and operations. You`ll need to plan and draw up a production schedule. Decide on and order the resources that are required and ensure stock levels remain adequate.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Plan production activities, worker schedules, production meetings, machine maintenance and maintain product quality and budgets.
∎ Plan, formulate, organize, control, and direct production activities.
∎ Maintain production delivery docs and host weekly production WIP with internal teams, elevate and communicate high risk potential order problems.
∎ Decide on and order the resources that are required and ensure stock levels remain adequate.
∎ Ensure that the production will be cost effective by estimating costs and negotiating and agreeing budgets with both clients and managers.
∎ Manage time-lines and work priorities and allocating resources to meet the assigned factory time-lines and goals.
∎ Ensure that the product effectively satisfies the quality level ordered by the customer.
∎ Organize the repair of any damaged equipment.
∎ Execute factory manufacturing strategic plan and aligning it with general plant strategy.
∎ Supervise quality standards and enforce quality-control programs.
∎ Collaborate with other factory managers to find best practices and the best solution.
∎ To see that the safety standards are being maintained within the factory and workers are abiding by workplace safety rules.
∎ Ensuring that factory machinery is in good working order.
∎ Preparing production reports and submitting them to key decision-makers.
∎ Regularly inspecting finished products whether they meet quality standards.
∎ All other duties as directed by the Higher Management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ At least 05 years experience as Production Manager in renowned paper and pulp industry.
∎ Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a factory.
∎ Excellent communication skills.
∎ Exceptional budgeting and finance skills.
∎ Strong ability to organize effectively, delegate responsibility, solves problems quickly and communicates clearly.
∎ Leadership skills, including the ability to manage time effectively and handle both internal and external conflicts.
∎ Meticulous attention to detail.
∎ Strong work ethic.
∎ An overall “CAN DO" attitude.
∎ Knowledge of SAP software or other ERP (an asset).
