Responsibilities & Context:
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and implement production plans to meet targets.
- Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
Team Management & Supervision
- Lead and supervise production staff and shift in-charges.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure discipline on the production floor.
Quality & Standards
- Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to resolve issues.
Process Improvement
- Identify bottlenecks and suggest process optimization.
- Implement lean manufacturing and cost-control measures.
Inventory & Resource Management
- Monitor raw material usage and minimize wastage.
- Coordinate with the store and procurement team for timely supply.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment.
- Enforce compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Coordinate with management, procurement, QA, and maintenance departments.
Maintenance & Downtime Management
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to reduce machine downtime.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
