∎ Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Chemical Technical/Engineering, Diploma in Engineering in Chemistry

Production/ Operation Management
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop plan and budget for Production in close coordination with the Planning & Control team and Sales Team
∎ Assist Business in identification of any new projects and process improvements to optimize conversion cost, quality and capacity utilization
∎ Provide inputs for strategy formulation for Plant Operations and determine resource requirements (facilities & equipment)
∎ Ensure timely implementation of new projects and dovetail with existing technology/ processes to ensure smooth integration
∎ Accountable for Production operations for assigned products and ensure achievement of targets; Coordinate with concerned departments to ensure adequate availability of material, infrastructure and manpower for Production Operations
∎ Coordinate with Procurement, Sales, Distribution, Customer Service and Quality Control departments to get update on materials procurement, specific customer requirements, quality issues, delay in deliveries etc. and align production process accordingly
∎ Ensure adherence to production schedule and take corrective actions if required; Monitor daily production, review daily shift records, condition of the equipment and progress against schedule
∎ Ensure adherence to SOPs defined for all manufacturing processes and suggest process improvements for reducing conversion cost and improving capacity utilization; Monitor operations to ensure minimum wastages and meet targets w.r.t. technical efficiency parameters set for the year
∎ Determine manpower deployment and mobilization across production lines and shifts in the department; handle concerns/queries of workers if any
∎ Work with the maintenance departments to ensure no/minimal breakdown due to process failures
∎ Take ownership of the manufacturing policy, guidelines and any associated documents
∎ Initiate and develop creative and innovative manufacturing processes.
∎ Provide leadership to departments under control and coach, mentor and develop direct reports and manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions
∎ Proactively work with product line management, engineering, service and other departments to incorporate best practices into the manufacturing environment
∎ Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company policies and procedures
