Educational Requirements:
∎ A bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Collaborate with customers to understand their server and storage needs, business objectives, and technical requirements. Conduct thorough consultations to identify their pain points and propose effective solutions.
∎ Utilize your expertise in solution design to create comprehensive architectures that align with customer objectives. Analyze customer requirements and leverage your knowledge of OEM products to design optimal server and storage solutions.
∎ Evaluate and select the most suitable OEM products for the proposed solutions. Consider factors such as performance, compatibility, scalability, and cost-effectiveness while ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
∎ Prepare accurate and detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) for the proposed solutions. Include all the necessary components, such as servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and software licenses, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
∎ Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the selected OEM products and their benefits. Clearly communicate how the chosen products fulfill customer requirements and provide a competitive advantage.
∎ Collaborate closely with the sales team to provide pre-sales support. Assist in preparing quotes, proposals, and technical documentation, ensuring they align with the selected OEM products and BOMs. Address technical inquiries and provide guidance throughout the sales process.
∎ Build strong relationships with customers by delivering exceptional pre-sales support. Engage in active communication, addressing customer queries, concerns, and objections promptly and professionally.
∎ Stay updated with the latest offerings from various OEM vendors. Develop a deep understanding of their server and storage products, technologies, and roadmaps. Keep track of product specifications, pricing, and competitive differentiators.
∎ Collaborate with OEM vendors, leveraging their technical expertise and support to enhance solution design and deliver optimal customer outcomes. Maintain productive relationships with vendor representatives and engage in joint technical discussions when required.
∎ Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments related to server and storage solutions. Provide insights and recommendations to the sales and product teams regarding OEM product positioning and competitive strategies.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 28 years
∎ Proven experience in solution design, pre-sales, or technical consulting, with a focus on server and storage solutions.
∎ Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
∎ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess customer requirements and design effective solutions using the appropriate OEM products.
∎ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
∎ Familiarity with creating Bills of Materials (BOMs) and quoting processes is desirable.
∎ Professional certifications related to OEM products or solution design are a plus.
