Job Context:
∎ CSF Global (formerly Child Sight Foundation http://csf-global.org) is an international organization, operating in Bangladesh since year 2000, ensuring equal rights and services for children with blindness, cerebral palsy, and other disability. CSF Global is currently operating in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Nepal and Australia.
∎ CSF Global is engaged in advancing research and services for persons with disability and is committed to generate high quality evidence on childhood disability (e.g. blindness, cerebral palsy) through translational research and provide comprehensive services for establishment of rights-based inclusive societies for children with disability in low and middle-income countries.
∎ CSF Global is currently collaborating with several international organizations of repute and its projects are funded by both national and international organizations including USAID, the University of Sydney and Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation, Australia.
∎ CSF Global is currently seeking 4 Physiotherapy Assistants for its Cerebral Palsy Program.
∎ Reporting to the Research Physiotherapist, the Physiotherapy Assistants will be responsible to deliver physiotherapy services for children with Cerebral Palsy (CP) and adults with disability and disorders at the upazila/union level.
∎ Job Location: The positions are based at 4 Upazilas of Sirajganj district.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Physiotherapy Assistant is a key member of the team and will have the following key
∎ responsibilities:
∎ Will be working closely with the children with Cerebral Palsy (CP) and adults with musculoskeletal and neurological disorders to identify their therapy and rehabilitation needs
∎ Assess and record patient's initial condition and progress for patient's evaluation and reporting
∎ Facilitate rehabilitation services following the rehabilitation plans developed by Research/Senior Physiotherapist
∎ Provide quality therapy services to children and adults with disabilities in therapy centres i.e. CSF "Shishu Shorgo" (Children's Heaven) Early Intervention and Rehabilitation Centres
∎ Assess individual with disabilities for assistive devices
∎ Adjust and orient assistive devices
∎ Assist in screening and needs assessment during multidisciplinary medical assessment camps
∎ Supervise and train community therapists
∎ Identify and assess children with disability including CP
∎ Map referral and develop referral services
∎ Be responsible for overseeing the well-functioning and progressing centre including patient care, equipment safety and financial management
∎ Contribute to ongoing research projects (e.g. camp management, data collection)
∎ Perform other related duties for national and international projects of CSF Global, as and when assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 2 years' experience in working with children with Cerebral Palsy and adults with musculoskeletal and neurological disorders is essential
∎ Good communication and documentation skills
∎ Ability to carry out frequent field/home visits
Salary: Tk. 15000 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Monthly consolidated salary along with other admissible benefits as per project budget and organizational policy.
