Job Context:
∎ CSF Global is an international NGO engaged in advancing research and services for persons with disabilities. CSF Global Cerebral Palsy (CP) Program is a collaborative program between the CSF Global (www.csf-global.org), the Asian Institute of Disability and Development (www.disabilityasia.org), Bangladesh, the Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA), the University of Sydney and Central Queensland University, Australia. This program supports world-class research and service delivery projects in Bangladesh. The overall aim of this program is to conduct translational research to generate novel knowledge on CP and to develop a comprehensive service delivery model for children with CP in rural Bangladesh.
∎ CSF Global seeking a highly motivated and experienced Farm Manager (Agriculture) to oversee the management of large agriculture farms, such as paddy fields, vegetable gardens, orchards, poultry and livestocks as part of the CP Program. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Farm Manager (Agriculture) will be responsible for managing and supervising daily farm operations, staff, equipment, facilities, and regulatory compliance, as well as developing and implementing farm plans, production and marketing and safety policies while monitoring and analyzing farm performance.
∎ Job Location: Shahjadpur subdistrict of the Sirajganj district with regular field visits.
∎ Job Nature:
∎ This is a full-time position for 12 months, with the possibility of extension andopportunities for professional development.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Farm Manager (Agriculture) is a key member of the team and will have the following key responsibilities:
∎ Oversee the daily operations of the farm, including planting, harvesting, irrigation, and pest management
∎ Develop and implement farm plans and schedules, including crop rotation, fertilization, and irrigation
∎ Manage and supervise farm staff, including training and performance evaluation
∎ Maintain farm equipment and facilities, including repair and maintenance
∎ Monitor and analyze farm performance, including yield, quality, and cost control
∎ Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and environmental standards
∎ Implement and maintain safety policies and procedures for farm operations
∎ Maintain stock register of different agricultural elements
∎ Communicate with retail and wholesale clients
∎ Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports
∎ Any other responsibility as and when assigned by the management
∎ Contribute to wider organizational goals within local, regional and international stakeholders.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in managing large agriculture farms
∎ Strong knowledge of crop production, pest management, and irrigation systems
∎ Excellent leadership and communication skills
∎ Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
∎ Proficient in using farm equipment and tools
∎ Willingness to work in remote locations and irregular hours
Salary: Tk. 15000 (Monthly)
