Job Context:
∎ CSF Global is an international NGO engaged in advancing research and services for persons with disability. CSF Global is committed to generate high quality evidence on childhood disability (e.g. Cerebral Palsy) through translational research and provide comprehensive services for establishment of rights-based inclusive societies for children with disability in low and middle-income countries (LMICs).
∎ ‘Early Detection and Early Natural History of Cerebral Palsy (CP) in Bangladesh’ is a collaborative project led by CSF Global and Cerebral Palsy Alliance, Australia. The primary aim of this study is to evaluate the feasibility of a model for early diagnosis of CP in low resource settings using risk factor analysis and General Movement Assessment (GMA) and to describe their motor severity and sub type. This study is expected to aid early diagnosis of CP among high-risk infants and early classification of CP can facilitate need-based early intervention for children with CP in LMICs like Bangladesh.
∎ CSF Global is currently seeking one enthusiastic Physiotherapist for the above mentioned research project. Reporting to Centre Leader, the Physiotherapist will be responsible to collect research data and deliver physiotherapy services for the identified children with CP and adults with neuro muscular disorder/disability. As part of this project, the selected candidate will have opportunity to learn new skills and techniques for early diagnosis of children with CP. There will be scope for excellent career progression and academic outputs for rightly motivated candidate.
∎ Job Location: The position is primarily based at Mymensingh city. However, candidate may need to move anywhere in Bangladesh as required by the organization.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Physiotherapist is a key member of the team and will have the following key responsibilities:
∎ Assist in the planning and preparation of research projects
∎ Preforming clinical assessments and assist with data collection for research projects
∎ Work closely with children with CP/adults with disability and their families to identify their therapy and rehabilitation needs
∎ Assess and record patient's initial condition and progress for patient's evaluation and reporting
∎ Develop and review rehabilitation programmes
∎ Provide quality therapy services to children and adults with disabilities in therapy centre i.e. CSF “Shishu Shorgo” (Children’s Heaven) Early Intervention and Rehabilitation Centres
∎ Centre and home based, goal directed therapy and follow-up services for children with CP and adults with disability
∎ Assessment of individual children with CP and adults with disability for assistive devices
∎ Assistive devices adjustment and orientation to children with CP/adults with disabilities
∎ Assist in screening and needs assessment during multidisciplinary medical assessment camps
∎ Supervise and train community disability workers
∎ Referral mapping and referral services for children with CP
∎ Be responsible for overseeing the well-functioning and progressing centre including patient care, equipment safety and financial management
∎ Contribute to ongoing research projects
∎ Contribute to wider organizational goals within local, regional and international stakeholders

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum one year experience in working with children with CP and adults with disability is essential
∎ Candidates with research experience and any postgraduate qualifications in Public Health would be preferred

Salary: Tk. 25000 - 30000 (Monthly)

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Monthly consolidated salary along with other admissible benefits as per project budget and organizational policy.
