Additional Requirements: - Experience: 7–10 years in pattern making, cutting, and draping—particularly in women’s western dress, bridal, couture, or eveningwear.
- Proven leadership skills, with experience managing a team in a fast-paced workshop environment.
- Strong understanding of fabric behavior, fit dynamics, and advanced tailoring techniques across garment categories
- Must speak English fluently
- Familiarity with CAD pattern software (e.g. PAD, Lectra, Gerber) is a strong advantage
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in luxury fashion houses, couture ateliers, bridalwear, or eveningwear production.
- Formal training in fashion design, pattern making, or garment technology.
- Multilingual ability (Arabic is a plus).
Responsibilities & Context: We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Pattern Maker / Master Cutter to lead our tailoring atelier. In this leadership position, you'll head pattern creation, draping, cutting, sample execution, and oversee quality across all garment production—from concept through to the final sample.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate design sketches, tech packs, or draping methods into highly precise production patterns (manually and digitally).
- Execute advanced draping techniques on mannequins to bring creative visions to life—especially for eveningwear, bridal couture, and structured garments.
- Cut fabrics with exceptional precision, optimizing for grain direction and minimal waste.
- Oversee sample construction using industrial sewing techniques.
- Lead and manage an atelier team (typically 20–25 tailors), ensuring craftsmanship, adherence to deadlines, and consistent garment quality.
- Conduct fittings, assess garment performance, and make adjustments to achieve optimal fit.
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date pattern library and documentation system.
- Collaborate closely with designers to balance creative intent with technical feasibility.
- Source and manage tailoring tools and materials to support high-level production.
- Train, mentor, and inspire junior pattern makers and tailors to uphold craftsmanship standards.
