Educational Requirements:
∎ High School Diploma/ Diploma in maintenance technician of electricity and/or mechanical and/or plumbing and building maintenance with at least three (3) years of experience in the industrial maintenance field.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Organization Name: IOM (International Organization for Migration)
∎ Perform daily, weekly, and monthly monitoring and inspections to ensure safe usage of all oxygen-related components/equipment procured by IOM. Complete and submit inspection checklists on prescribed schedule and recommendation of the required repair/maintenance works, and provide them to Supervisor
∎ Proactively undertake routine preventive maintenance of all oxygen-related components/equipment procured by IOM at all sites where these are being used or stored. Determine possible causes for malfunctions, and perform repairs as suggested by diagnostics and assessment
∎ Test and document the proper operating parameters of the Oxygen production line. Monitoring the O2, CO and C02 levels
∎ Cleans and repairs equipment, such as replacing defective valves and removing debris and dust from equipment elements, using hand tools and air hose
∎ Take whatever action is required and appropriate to maintain supply of oxygen to patients in case all or part of the oxygen supply system breaks down
∎ Ensure fire safety controls are in place and followed by staff on site. Take whatever action is required and appropriate, in case of fire, to control the fire while maintaining supply of oxygen to patients.
∎ Coordinate with general O&M Technicians and healthcare staff at relevant facilities to identify, plan and implement required works
∎ Coordinate with the Site Development Operation Officer/Construction Engineer in preparing purchase requests for maintenance spare parts and consumables and submit to the Logistic/Procurement Unit. Prepare and submit utilization report to the supervisor and share to Logistic/Procurement Unit for the record.
∎ Ensure timely approval is obtained of authorized personnel for approval of requisitions, invoices, etc.
∎ Places systems in a safe condition for maintenance work, supporting maintenance activities and communicating status to the facility supervisor and co-workers
∎ Receives requests for repairs and generates work orders specifying the appropriate technical data.
∎ At the request of the Line Manager, participate in staff development and training processes
∎ Maintain inventory of tools and supplies, stored in a organized manner.
∎ Maintain records of maintenance and repairs as directed by supervisor.
∎ Perform such other related duties as may be assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Knowledge and experience of working with gas cylinders and networks
∎ Knowledge in preventative maintenance and repairs of oil-injected air compressors, refrigerant dryers and filters
∎ Knowledge of mechanics and electrical systems, handling of electrical measuring devices, and plumbing.
∎ Knowledge and experiences on Operation and Control - Controlling operations of equipment or systems
∎ Working with mechanical systems (e.g., knowing mechanical concepts, troubleshooting and repairing appliances, performing basic household repair in plumbing, circuits, fuses, and electrical components, operating hand tools and power tools, etc.)
∎ Working with basic refrigeration systems (e.g., understanding refrigeration cycle, Freon, compressors, evaporators, condensers, etc.)
∎ Working with electrical systems (e.g., understanding flow, wiring, outlets, etc.)
∎ Incumbents having technical/vocational training in maintenance with five (5) years of extensive experience in the relevant field will also be considered
∎ Ability to communicate in local Chittagonian/Rohingya dialect will be considered advantageous.
∎ Previous experience in UN, UN Affiliate or other International organizations is an advantage
Salary:
∎ Salary Monthly BDT 88,931.00
