We, JIN HONG GARMENTS LTD, a sister concern of DISHANG GROUP (China’s largest manufacturer and exporter of apparel and textiles), are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Sr. Officer/Officer – Welfare & Counseling. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining employee welfare, strengthening communication, and fostering a harmonious relationship between management and workers.
Job Responsibilities:
Receive worker complaints, grievances, and counseling issues on a daily basis.
Conduct one-to-one counseling with workers regarding absenteeism, low performance, family issues, harassment, conflict, stress, and disciplinary concerns.
Maintain regular communication between workers and management to ensure a positive industrial relationship.
Assist in resolving disputes between workers and supervisors, line chiefs, and management.
Support and monitor the Trade Union, Safety Committee, Anti-Harassment Committee, and Grievance Committee.
Ensure workers are informed about:
Leave rules
Maternity benefits
Attendance and overtime policy
Salary and benefits
Service rules and grievance procedure
Monitor worker welfare facilities such as canteen, toilet, drinking water, child care room, first aid, prayer room, transport, dormitory, and hygiene condition.
Conduct regular floor visits and identify worker dissatisfaction, safety concerns, or compliance gaps.
Handle female worker issues confidentially, including harassment, maternity, childcare, and health-related concerns.
Coordinate with HR, Compliance, Medical Centre, and Admin regarding worker support and corrective actions.
Conduct awareness sessions and training on:
Workplace behavior
Harassment prevention
Health & hygiene
Fire and emergency awareness
Worker rights and responsibilities
Maintain the following records and registers:
Worker grievance register
Counseling register
Harassment complaint register
Follow-up action register
Welfare activity report
Prepare weekly and monthly MIS/report for management regarding:
Number of complaints received
Resolved vs pending cases
Counseling sessions conducted
Major worker concerns and recommendations
Support all buyer, social, and compliance audits by presenting welfare-related documents and demonstrating effective grievance handling.
Carry out any other welfare, counseling, or compliance-related duties assigned by management.
