Job Context:
∎ Role Purpose: The purpose of this job is to maintain LC related activities for import, C&F agents and clear goods in sea and air shipment.
∎ Key Relationships:
∎ Internal: Finance, SC Planning, Logistics & Warehouse, Sales Team, Procurement
∎ External: Foreign Supplier, Freight Forwarder, C&F Agents, Insurance Vendor, Banks
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The role will be primarily accountable for the followings:
∎ To ensure the foreign/local import LC/LCA/TT of raw material in time after getting PI from planning & procurement team fulfilling import policy.
∎ Maintaining bond license balance weight vs imported weight and share the impact with related persons.
∎ Tracking the shipment, checking the shipping documents to avoid delay clearance of shipments from customs.
∎ Communication with Foreign & local suppliers to deliver the raw materials to plant in time to avoid shortage.
∎ Communication with bank, insurance, forwarder, shipping line, C & F Agents, govt.-non govt. organization, internal & external stakeholders to get the support in emergency.
∎ To process the bill in time to get the best support from vendors.
∎ To visit govt. office like Customs to resolve any complexities of clearance process.
∎ Need to take best decision in any emergency situation in time of import job minimizing cost impact.
∎ Need to finish the job as per priority and task given by line manager.
∎ Prepare various report, data analysis as per requirement of inter-dept. and cross-functional department.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 1-3 years' experience in import. Dept. of any organization.
∎ Proficiency in English language & good communication skill.
∎ Must have knowledge in MS Office.
∎ Should have good knowledge on Import & Export Policy, Customs Act, SRO, Foreign Exchange Act, Knowledge of Undertaking, Import LC clause, Bond License etc.
∎ Have a sense of urgency and able to work under pressure.
∎ Ability to deal with vendors to resolve the problem.
∎ Know-how of C&F agent handling.
