Responsibilities & Context:
. New Product Development (NPD)
Lead development of new accessories (woven labels, printed labels, tags, elastics, packaging items, etc.)
Analyze buyer requirements, tech packs, and samples for feasibility
Coordinate with design & sampling team for product development
Ensure sample development within timeline and buyer specifications
2. Production Planning & Execution
Work closely with production team to ensure smooth handover from development to bulk production
Monitor production readiness (machine, manpower, raw materials)
Ensure production meets delivery deadlines and quality standards
3. Costing & Process Optimization
Prepare product costing in coordination with commercial and merchandising teams
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement
Improve production efficiency and minimize wastage
4. Cross-functional Coordination
Liaise with merchandising, quality, commercial, and procurement teams
Communicate with buyers regarding development status, approvals, and technical issues
Ensure all departments align with development timelines
5. Quality & Compliance
Ensure all developed products meet buyer quality standards
Work with QA team for risk assessment and pre-production approvals
Maintain compliance with factory and buyer requirements
6. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain development tracker, sample status, and production reports
Prepare weekly/monthly reports for management review
Ensure proper documentation of specifications and approvals
